Don't know what all the hype is about for this place. Cool name but after that the food is average along with service, very dark and prices high. Has potential but needs work before we return.

We revisited Monkey Cat in December and had another wonderful meal. The food is unique and the atmosphere is wonderful. There is something on the menu for everyone. Don’t miss a chance to visit this place and have a great meal.

We traveled to the Sacramento area for Thanksgiving to visit our daughter. We didn’t want to spend the day cooking on a short trip and chose to make reservations at Monkey Cat in Auburn. Wow! What a fabulous decision. The atmosphere is so relaxing and...More

We were recommended to have dinner her by our hotel. It was a good choice. The menu did not have any monkey or cat but, what it did have was great. My wife had a very nice cordon blue chicken and I have the sole....More
I had lamb chops, spouse had filet mignon, both delicious. Salad, coffee, desert, $117. A bit pricey, compared to Bootlegger's, and the latter's food just as good.
Located in "Downtown" Auburn (not to be confused with "Old Town" a mile or two away) this is a cool place for a slightly slick meal. We enjoyed the food and found the ambiance upscale and comfortable, albeit a tad pricy for value received. Overall,...More
