Obviously, the right pit stop for snacks etc on the way to/from Lake Tahoe. The roasted cashews are outrageous and the apple pie phenomenal. Other pies great - try rhubarb and strawberry which was a little sweet. Not much in the way of organic fruit at this time of year, but with wine, bread, cheese and other items, fill your... More

Ikeda's is famous in the area for their pies and burgers. I was told by the lady in front of me that their crab sandwich was "to die for" so I splurged and ordered it. I wish I had gotten a burger. It was just a very basic sandwich of buttered fresh crab and a roll. My boyfriend had a... More

When I was a kid in the 60's mom would stop here. Driving thru Auburn I always pick up a cherry pie, they are still warm and oh so good when you get home. We hadn't stop to eat there in years though just get the pie to go. Well my wife really liked her burger, guess I should have... More

Picked up a Dutch apple pie for a family New Year's celebration. We all bit into the pie and stopped to stare at each other. The pie filling reminded us of my grandmother. The pie got us talking of family. Delicious!! Thanks for a great pie.

This is a "pit stop" for many Bay Area travelers headed to Tahoe. Burgers, pies, fruit, veggies and expensive wine. What more could you ask for??

We like to stop in here for lunch or a snack. There have good pies, fresh fruit and some unique salsas. We also like the mango smear.

This place is small, crowded, and wonderful. Great burgers and homemade pies by the slice. Serves beer so my husband was happy. Connected to a farmers market. They sell whole pies - desert pies and pot pies. Both were wonderful.

When I go through Auburn, I always make a plan to drop in on Ikeda's! It isn't cheap, but when you want apple pie ala mode....this is the very best!

Ikeda's is well know to locals, and has a wide range of foods in its market, as well as food cooked to order in its restaurant. Everyone can find something they like here.
