Just average food, my veggie burger was OK. Beef burgers just OK. Service surly with attitude. took a long time to be served, no split checks for two couples (how hard is that?) and no credit cards. They have the rep and take advantage of that. Nice outdoor dining

About a nine mile ride on a great bike trail to tavern. Not a difficult ride to the tavern but always get a van to pick up us and our bikes! Good Mexican food and burgers with good beer and margaritas to celebrate the ride to the tavern. We always sit outside but the inside is covered with pictures of... More

This is a popular place to stop for food after biking along the Rio Grande Trail (from town it is about 7 miles). Given its location and associated merchandise I expected the food to be fairly good. I think the food here is very average. It's fine if you're hungry from a long ride but I would not go on... More

We used to ride our horses here 25 years ago and it was fun for lunch. Food was always ok. Waitresses were always rude. But now really? I was appalled by being ignored by each waitress, and the female bartender. Not one bit of service or kindness from any of them. And no thank you for my 20% tip. Not one... More

Woody Tavern is a very convenient place to stop on the Rio Grande Trail between Aspen and Basalt. Unfortunately the place has deteriorated tremendously. Very rude waitresses and not helpful. One person takes your drink order, the other the food and you better know who is who - if you ask for a fork to the girl the brings the... More

We had not been here for a few years but had to bring our out of town guests for the experience and funky ambience. This is no frills but the food is good and the wait staff is very friendly. This is one of the last true locals' spots left. It has kept its original character. Don't come here expecting... More

The bike ride here was enjoyable, but the food was just average at best. For the crowd there, I really could not tell you what the big deal was. No one in our party was really impressed with the place.

After an extended amount of time waiting for the hostess to seat us - no hostess in sight; after being ignored by a waitress?/hostess? serving tables right in front of us; after going into the bar (twice) looking for someone who could tell us how we might become customers,..... we got a table. We ordered drinks and opened the menu.... More

We made the trek out to Woody Tavern because my husband once had a grand evening there in the company of Hunter S Thompson, whose spirit now more or less hovers over the joint. Several large family groups started arriving for dinner as earl as 5 M, and all seemed beyond thrilled with their food and the setting (which is... More
