I was a local for many years and ate there frequently. I was never disappointed. The ribs are delicious as well as all the sides. You can’t go wrong. If you have kids this is one of few places in Aspen you can go.

Recommend and definitely a place to eat good food, breakfast out was our plan and it keeps us all skiing until late lunch. Great waiting staff, eclectic collections of ski and hill stuff on the walls. Love the bear out side, own car park on...More
Aspen is notorious for high-priced places to eat. This is NOT one of them. The BBQ-centric menu is solid, tasty and well-executed at prices that give real value. The atmosphere is noisy, busy and boisterous, but for these prices a customer can put up with...More
We stopped in here for lunch, the place is decent but extremely unclean with food all over the floors and urine all over the bathrooms. With knowing that Colorado Health Dept. does not have pass or fail in their kitchen inspections we won't be back,...More
The Hickory House is not a fancy Aspen restaurant filled with clamoring foodies and carefully plated farm to table cuisine supplemented by an extensive wine list. It is, however, a comfortable and casual restaurant offering ribs with all the fixins' as well as other good...More
Wouldn’t go back. Food was horrible Our friends thought they had ordered fries with their meals and out came potato chips. If nothing else I had a really good laugh
I happened upon this place purely by accident. It had all the good signs as I rolled around the back and parked the car...grease dumpster, a real honest to god smoker, and that smell which for some odd reason...i had smelled before. Lets cut out...More
If you want a big breakfast before you hit the slopes, you must visit here - the short pancake stack is great, especially with a side of bacon. The portions are huge, so make sure you are hungry!
Old timer Aspenites often gather for coffee and breakfast. Casual dining Burgers and ribs. Big tables for big groups. Downhome food Beer casual Don’t expect gourmet. Just lots of food and drink. Nice alternative to gourmet boring predictability at many Aspen restaurants
Love celery smoothies? Vegan, Vulcan or Vulgarian? Stay away please. We went for breakfast before skiing. Now we are like the Duracell bunnies- we can ski all day. I love eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, hash browns, butter, coffee and full fat milk and feeling happy...More
