We spent a night in Apalachicola en route home to Edwardsville, IL, from N. Ft. Myers. This was the second place we went to that night, and our definite first choice for next time. Why? Two main reasons. While the oysters were really good, I have to say that they are really good everywhere in Apalachicola, it seems. But we sat at the bar, and this allowed us to watch them bring in boxes of oysters, shuck them, and prepare them raw or cooked in a variety of styles. It was fun to talk to the guys behind the bar, and they were super friendly and full of local knowledge. Second: you can get an ice-cold bottle of proseeco, and bubbly is sure a great accompaniment to oysters and grouper bites! It was beer and iced tea at the first place, due to rather poor wine selection, so this place, with its friendly staff and cold prosecco, gets First Choice!

We went here for oysters due to most other places being closed on Sunday's. Cool vibe, good oysters (but it is apalach). Little pricey, however, I am hoping that was just because they were market price after a major hurricane. Will go back.

We had to wait until 3:00PM to check into our hotel so we decided to begin our oyster gluttony early. The Station was recommended by a hotel staff member and it was very close by. They do practice covid protocols in the reception area but several of the wait staff did not wear masks nor did the bar staff but they were 6’ away. We sat at the bar and ordered a dozen oysters for each of us followed by a pound of peel and eat shrimp. The oysters were fantastic, plump and juicy. The shrimp were spiced up just right and cooked perfectly. The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service.

You come to this town for Oysters. Oysters they have but they just don't make the grade. I thought there was a law regarding the size of Oysters that can be served. I have never been served such small Oysters, some were no bigger than my thumb. The raw shucked were good but the fried ones were way over cooked. I also wanted something else so Shrimp & grits sounded good, but they were out of grits & all they could offer were grilled shrimp, 10 small semi grilled shrimp on a plate....tha'ts it folks for $22.00 & some were only half cooked. I was not impressed with this restaurant at all.

Had some very cold draft beer and the fried oysters and shrimp were outstanding. The calamari is very tender and delicious and the clams are awesome. Very attentive staff and very personable and helpful. Great experience. I give them a 10 out of 10. You will not be disappointed. Getting some homemade banana pudding to go because I am too full to eat it here. Y’all enjoy

Went to this oyster bar after checking into a dismal "bed and breakfast" Left with much higher spirits. The ambiance and bartender were great and made for a lively evening. The oysters were fresh and expertly prepared. The bartender demonstrated the correct way to shuck an oyster. Local beer was good. So, definitely a place to visit.

Been to Apalachicola a few times, but this was our first time at The Station. Had fried pickles and a dozen oysters for appetizers, then the 3 of us ordered a grouper sandwich, shrimp basket, and cheeseburger. Everything was excellent. Server did a great job.

Started with friendly service Nd really good smoked tuna dip, fried pickles came out next and were good but ranch was a Ken's container-expected fresh dressing but maybe it's because as a Texan, we take ranch seriously. Hubs had a shrimp basket, shrimp were fried well but not over large and bland, fries were plain frozen fries, hush puppy was very good. I had shrimp n grits, very small shrimp with no seasoning over cheese grits that had great texture but no flavor, Texas toast was good. Wanted to try the key lime pie but they ran out, other desserts did look good but holding out for key lime pie. This could have been a great meal but it was just bland.

You can enjoy all of your favorite local seafood without blowing the budget. My meal was perfectly fried. There was a bit of a wait that day, but definitely worth it. Will always be my go to place when in town.

Seafood Trio Burger for $18 was very skimpy on the seafood. The few scallops were tiny, no taste, all the exact same size?? (always wonder if really scallops when I see this), very few small cocktail size shrimp and few oysters. All overcooked, heavily breaded. The shrimp and clamstrip basket was also disappointing. Heavily breaded, very small portions overcooked (clams were fried hard - couldn't taste the clam). There are better choices in the area - don't waste your money.

The oysters are great. As were the peel and eat shrimp and a nice selection of local beer on tap. This is a fun place with a great mix of locals and visitors. It was also well suited to the two small visitors in our group. Only room for improvement; does everything really need to be served in disposable cups and eaten with plastic forks. It seems so wasteful and the price we paid was fair. I would expect glass cups and metal forks.

Our waitress was great: efficient, fun, and accurate. The food was delicious. The only downside of the restaurant, which is a big one if the purpose is getting a seat, is that the hostess station gets overwhelmed due to the set-up - so it can take a long time to get seated even when there is no line. Once you get in (in the summer, recommend the AC dining), it is delicious Scallops with hushpuppies. Fried Cheese Curds, and Shrimp Salad - all delicious and perfectly cooked! Tea, sweetened and unsweetened or even blended, is the perfect Southern accompaniment.

After seeing some good reviews, decided to try them out. Very sorry we wasted over $50 for horribly greasy fried shrimp and what was supposed to be grouper fingers. The fried shrimp was so heavily breaded you couldn’t even taste it and the”grouper” was tiny little strips. Everything fried left grease all over my hands. So disappointed, will never go there again and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Sightseeing in Apalachicola and just around lunch the skies opened up. Because of COVID we wanted to eat outside, and fortunately The Station had a covered patio (the chairs closest to the street get a little wet when the wind is blowing). We got there just before the main lunch crowd arrived so we didn't have to wait for a table. Despite the crowd we were served quickly. It being Apalachicola, it was appropriate to order oysters: in my fried oyster basket, both the oysters and fries were very tasty, although the slaw was unexceptional. My wife really liked her oysters Rockefeller; the salad (self-serve from a salad bar, which is unusual these days) was good but also not exceptional. The meal was priced very reasonably, especially as it was still tourist season. We would go back.

Absolutely, top notch, out of this world delicious oysters!! They have just enough of a briny taste without being overwhelming, and they are oh so tender. All of the oysters were a very decent size. We had raw oysters and James choice which came with 3 different types of cheesy, bacon-y baked oysters each with a slight twist. The house dipping sauce and hot sauce are both great. The sweet potato fries were pretty typical. The Key lime pie, on the other hand, was the best we’ve ever eaten. We also enjoyed the Oyster brewery IPA and Brown – both delicious. Very friendly and efficient service too. Definitely recommend and will come back again when we are in town.
