Great little place if you plan on being there before the band starts playing. We couldn't even talk to each other or hear the server. I just feel like they should stop serving in the bar area for dinner at a certain time. We left and they talked us into eating at the café next door which was fine, but... More

We went to Tamara's to hear a local band (Bo Springs Band), have a few drinks and try some appetizers. The band was awesome although a little loud...and the place was packed! We were lucky to get seats at the bar and ordered some dirty martini's while checking out the food menu. The bartender was totally slammed but I couldn't... More

Not bad, but not great. Food is just OK, nothing special. Which seems to be the case for most restaurants in apalatchicola. If you like fried fish, bland, overcooked vegetables and boring soup, this is your place. On the upside, the service was great, friendly & fast. Nice, open atmosphere. Live music some nights.

Back for lunch. Had a great meal. Special of grouper throats looked interesting, but I didn't have that. Stuck to the Venezuelan black bean soup and quesadilla. Very good. Home made key lime pie was terrific. Ahi tuna sandwich was also great.

My wife and I arrived for a late lunch (1:45PM) between Christmas and New Years. Apalach was bustling, hence the idea for a late lunch. We spend a good deal of time and the area, but had never eaten at Tamara's. Overall it was good and we will return. Tables were less than 1/2 occupied. We got a quick seating... More

I have been a professional restaurant reviewer (meaning no freebies, ever) and also have worked in both front and back of the house, so I know that when you come into a lively place almost an hour after the breakfast menu has been replaced by lunch, it's not at all simple for the kitchen to accommodate your request for eggs... We had dinner at Tamara's because we saw they had paella on the menu. We were not disappointed. The seafood was fresh and the did was well seasoned. We also had fried oysters as an appetizer. They were excellent. We will return to this restaurant when we visit Apalachicola next.
