My husband and I stopped here for a bit to eat. We weren't really dressed up but felt comfortable going in anyway. People were dressed in all sorts of attire. We had the coconut shrimp. Excellent! The drinks were very good too.

We happened to be driving by in our golf cart and decided to stop for cocktails. We ended up staying for dinner, desert, and many drinks. This place was really cool and comfortable, the staff was so attentive and excited to serve us. The bartender...went as far as coming over to our table to discuss how we would like the drinks we ordered!More

Food was good. The kids rated their hamburgers the best they’ve ever tasted (quite an accompaniment given how much these kids eat burgers at better restaurants), and I got the best salad I found out the island. The server told us that the meat was...produced in Belize and the burger buns baked in-house. We had a cocktail, which was good and the wine was the best I found on the island and actually chilled! Further, the service was friendly, attentive.More

Great food. Can get busy but service was good. Pleasant ambiance with a live band the night we went with party of four. A/C, tasteful decor and subdued lighting. Baby back ribs with mango sauce were delicious.

Not great. Food was very mediocre and expensive compared to other restaurants. Was so cold in the restaurant we were shivering. Would recommend going elsewhere. Staff was friendly but nothing special.

We went out to dinner and tried another restaurant but they said they could not Seat 13 people as a group or individually for two hours. We walked to Maxie’s and they immediately sat us upstairs. On the weekends they have music upstairs and Glenn...( our waiter) said it’s a great place to enjoy drinks with friends. It was about 7:30pm. It a/c was excellent. List of foods all wonderful. House salad,House salad w/chicken, ceviche, fried shrimp, cheeseburger, shrimp tacos and fried plantains ( my brother who travels said the plantains were excellent) I was not able to hear what the other people ate. It’s island time, don’t get in a hurry. Glenn Casanova was our excellent waiter. He wrote and memorized peoples names. He was attentive but not over bearing. He was very patient and answered all our questions about the dishes thoroughly. He was truly one of the highlights of the visit. A servers attitude can set the tone for the evening. We will certainly be back and ask for him to be our server. They did add a 15% gratuity but I know everyone at our side of the table increased the amount because Mr. Casanova was excellent. My only issue is, this being our first outing on a week long stay, Mr. Casanova has set the bar extremely high for the other waitstaff we encounter to meet. Since we just stumbled in I did not read any reviews but I will say this is a must visit location. They mentioned they are open for lunch so we will return at some point this week.More

Maxie’s was our GO TO for dinner, drinks, the most amazing Cinqo Leches and the absolute best people to spend a day/night with in San Pedro. Max has the best decor with a fun vibe and just added a lounge upstairs that we can’t wait...to visit again soon. Thank you to Max, John, Darwin, Gabby, Glen, Navid, Mariela, the chef and kitchen staff and anyone else we forgot to mention. We love you guys and can’t wait for next time.More

The penne Rosa with grilled chicken had a nice peppery cream sauce that was excellent. The coconut shrimp was a large portion that was cooked just right, not greasy at all. Attentive service. Kitchen was quick by island standards.

I ordered the Seafood Chowder which was enough to fill me up by itself. Every bite made me make an audible noise it was so good. But not knowing at the time I ordered I also tried the Grilled Grouper with Creamy Curry Sauce. Again...this was incredibly good. I ordered sides of rice and plantains. Also good but nothing spectacular. My wife ordered the Shrimp Tacos. We were sharing and we both thought they were great. The 4 tacos come with some pico de gallo and some specialty creamy taco sauce made from cilantro that I had to finish off plain it was so good. Place we want to come back to.More

My husband and I were headed to a different restaurant, but it was was closed because of Good Friday. We were in luck because we stumbled upon Maxie’s and what a treat! We will definitely come back here next time we’re on the Caye. We...loved the outdoor seating, as we dine inside six months of the year due to our cold climate. Our waitress, Janet, was informative and excellent! They have a variety of cocktails to offer, which are interesting and include twists on the classics. For example, I had a mango margarita with fresh mango, and my husband had a Moscow Mule made with spiced rum. The aesthetics of the drinks are lovely, with the dried citrus, garnish. We also enjoyed the fresh fillet of the day which was a grouper with a garlic sauce, and I had the sesame salad, which was fresh and abundant. Ceviches are delicious as well. The decor is an upscale vibe and adjacent to the street; it is fun to watch the comings and goings of the locals in their golf carts. We’re so glad we ate here, and hope you will be, too.More

We loved Maxie’s! We were quickly greeted by kind staff, and led up to the stylish lounge to wait briefly before being sat for dinner. Kiara warmly welcomed us to our table and did a wonderful job recommending local specialties to eat. The cocktails and...draft beer were refreshing and high quality. We had a wonderful time dining at Maxie’s!More
