This place is usually packed in the evenings, so expect a bit of a wait. But the food is worth it! There's not much to choose from, but the jerk chicken is to die for. Plus, it includes unlimited top-ups of rum punch. And Fran is a sweetheart who makes sure you are looked after.

There are so many better places to eat in Caye Caulker. We fell into Fran's trap with her free rum drinks (there is no rum in them) and the wait for food is super long.

The food here was seriously delicious! I got the vegetarian curry with mashed potatoes and garlic bread and free rum and pineapple all night which was great because we had to wait about an hour for the food. Although there was a big group of us, as well as others getting food!

The best meal on the island! The barbecue chicken was to die for. Only "bad" part was Frans runs on the Caye Caulker motto of "Go Slow". But the rum punch and atmosphere greatly make up for the time you wait!

We had wonderful food... The jerk chicken was awesome, shrimp not as tasty but still good. Was nice to have potatoes instead of rice for a change, garlic toast yummy. Unlimited rum punch and great conversation. Took long time to get food but we weren't disappointed. Met some very nice travelers while we waited. Remember you're on Belizian time 😊

The night we ate here they were cooking barbecue chicken with mashed potatoes. It just was not near as good as the places that grill beach front further up the beach towards the split and was double the price. Do yourself a favor, keep walking towards the split, find any of the guys set up along the beach grilling jerk... More

The Good: We went to Fran's after being enticed by her promise of great food, unlimited rum punch and dessert while walking past in the late afternoon. The location is great and at just $12 for a main meal and aforementioned rum + dessert, it seemed to represent good value. On the night we went the two long tables were... More

Having heard glowing reviews of Fran's, the six of us decided to check it out for dinner. The rum punch was delicious and free flowing- unfortunately the meals were a let down. We waited for over an hour for our food, without any updates or explanations for the delay. The other tables were already seated with their meals, so we... More

Fran calls to everybody who passes her place through out the evening "good food, unlimited rum and cake", We stopped in, had 4 different plates, unlimited rum and cake. The food was good the cake was okay and the rum like everywhere else, was rum. We sat at a weathered picnic table with the sea on our left and folks... More
