Just fun. Not a replica of the movie set, but it invokes the spirit of the film beautifully. Dinner prices were not even outrageous; keep a lid on the bar tab, though. Good food, great service, wonderful ambiance. Reservations recommended.

Sat at the bar as we didn't have a reservation (you should probably make one), had the signature cocktail (whisky based even though this is a gin joint), and the local beer (casablanca lager) followed by appetizers and the lamb shank. Staff is wonderful and the attention to detail is exceptional - the lamps, the lighting, the piano, the music,... More

Rick's Café was inspired by the film 'Casablanca' and didn't exist when the movie was made. Sorry, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman didn't dine here. That said, this is still great fun to visit. Classic Moroccan architecture with a central courtyard, and dining on three levels around the court. No expense was spared in creating this beautiful restaurant. We dined... More

My husband and I loved dining at Rick's Cafe while in Casablanca. The food was delicious! We had the goat cheese appetizer with honey, lavender, and almonds and I enjoyed a vegetarian option and the hubs enjoyed the chicken potpie. All delicious! It's a must and we will return. Thank you!

As fans of the 1941 movie "Casablanca" this was a must see. Booking well in advance is essential. The decor is the same as the movie set and getting there early (7pm) meant we had time to take some photographs. The staff are friendly, speak several languages and the meal was excellent. The only problem - Morocco does not have... More

My 4th time, great as ever. The crab salad and the grilled swordfish made my evening. Still wasn't able to meet the owner.

Had a couple of drinks with travelling companions at Rick's Café. Awesome place, great staff, friendly and accommodating. Local muso's doing their thing and to cap it off - Casablanca plays non-stop in an upstairs lounge. Drinks are reasonably priced and complimentary nibbly's were fantastic. Gotta go.

It is a famous place, very Moroccan decorated, the bar is typical, the person which I contacted for the reservation was super friendly , once we got there, the service was just average, the food average. I would recommend to, go, have a drink, take a picture at the emblematic place and bar. Just to say you been there. It... More

Yes, bar and restaurant are made like the films scene ( the bar opened after the film , and it's decor is based on the film, the film' s actors never played in Casablanca ). Anyway, there is a piano, we had drinks at the bar only, at least that's the only one of the few places in Casablanca where... More

This was on our list to go to. We watched some movies to "pump us up" for our trip. One of the movies was Casablanca. When my husband found out there was a Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, he said we have to go! We were on a cruise so we were only able to go in the afternoon. We had... More

Description
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist
