We had travelled for 5 days in Morocco and Casablanca and Rick's sounded like something different to do. Nicely set up and recreated some of the ambience of the film. The staff were very good and the food was excellent. They also have a pianist in a prominent spot. And they had the film running in an upstairs room. It... More

The service, ambiance, and food was amazing. It's a must do if you visit Casablanca which became known for by the 40s famous romantic movie starring Humphrey Bogart. I came here during lunch time and enjoyed the music that was played, the sunlight through the entire room, and the lemon chicken dish is very authentic and delicious. Highly recommend, it's... More

As touristy as it is, Rick's Cafe was the highlight of my stay in Casablanca. For $40USD I enjoyed a cocktail, bottled water, appetizer, filet mignon with four sides, and creme brûlée. I ended up going there for brunch and dinner on the same day because I enjoyed it so much!

First thought to drop in, but ended up staying for lunch. Service was good, had one of the vegetarian dishes (stuffed pepper) which was very nice and atmosphere was pleasant. I am sure it is hopping in the evening with a band. Place was full of tourists but you don't get the sense you are paying more for the location.... More

As touristy as it seems, this American owned replica of the movie set to Casablanca did not disappoint. Terrific food and exotic carvings/ambience. Try sitting upstairs if you're a real Casablanca fan-- the movie runs continuously. Stake Dinner + Apps only $33 p/p

Visiting Rick's Cafe is a must for movie fans. Beautifully decorated in the style of the classic Hollywood movie, it fills an important niche in the Casablanca market. The food is only ok though and quite expensive by Moroccan standards. Friendly bilingual service.

Had dinner here in the 7.00 pm sitting. Service was attentive, food was middle of the road but good, cocktails expensive but well worth our visit. Nostalgia wasn't on our agenda, just a good restaurant with good food and a good buzz. It ticked all the boxes but we went in with low expectations.

Rick’s Cafe is a very nice and welcoming place, after you pass by the two guards that are sitting outside the front door. I mention the two guards because their attitude almost made me to not want to go inside and I only entered because my husband really, really wanted to have dinner there. They gave us a superior look... More

Beautiful establishment and nice cocktails. It is near the mosque and beach, so it's easy to get to. Definitely touristy, but fun to see.

Description
Rick's Cafe Casablanca is a restaurant, bar and cafe located in the city of Casablanca, Morocco. Opened March 1, 2004, the place was designed to recreate the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the movie classic Casablanca. Set in an old courtyard-style mansion built against the walls of the Old Medina of Casablanca, the restaurant - piano bar is filled with architectural and decorative details reminiscent of the film: curved arches, a sculpted bar, balconies, balustrades as well as beaded and stencilled brass lighting and plants that cast luminous shadows on white walls. There is an authentic 1930's Pleyel piano and As Time Goes By is a common request to the in-house pianist
