What a beautiful place for dinner! The enclosed courtyard at Dar Roumana has just five tables, with an additional pair in the small salon adjacent to it - and with the soaring heights and the gorgeous tiles and woodwork all around it is a truly enchanting room in which to spend a few hours over a meal. I had great... More

We had dinner at Dar Roumana our first night while staying at the riad, which was a great way to relax after spending the whole day on a train from Marrakech. The food is excellent - Moroccan cuisine with a modern, European flair - and the service is superb. Definitely a culinary highlight of our trip.

The restaurant offers two and three-course options as well as cocktails and a selection of Moroccan wines. It's a great value for the price, the food is really delicious (French-inspired, using local ingredients), and the atmosphere in the candle-lit courtyard is just delightful. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and will be willing to arrange transfer to and from the... More

Great location for an excellent french cousine in Fes. the restaurant offers the possibility to select a two or three course menu in a variety of fish and meat dishes. The offer is completed by a good selection of wines in half and full bottles. All the dishes are accompanied by fresh vegetables.

This restaurant is a little bit hard to find, but once you go in, you will be absolutely shocked at how such a beautiful place seems to be in the middle of nowhere! The high ceilings, exquisite mosaics, bubbling fountain, and fireplace make an amazing atmosphere for this restaurant. The food (which is French) is equally impressive. We had a... More

My husband and I had dinner here and it was magical! They had a porter service that walked us from the taxi drop at one of the city gates to the restaurant. This was very helpful as we would not have been able to find it on our own! The dinner was 3 courses. My husband and I each had... More

This is restaurant is hard to find but worth it. We had to get someone from the restaurant to meet our taxi and walk us to the restaurant through the Medina. This is the best restaurant we went to in Fez. Great 3 courses. The Chef knows what they are doing. If you have only time for one meal. Go... More

My daughter and I stayed at Dar Roumana while in Fes, and we ate dinner there the first night. The food was delicious, and artfully married Mediterranean and Moroccan flavors (the cauliflower veloute was outstanding). There was a nice selection of Moroccan wines including several half-bottles. The food, coupled with the atmosphere in the stunning courtyard, made for a delicious... More

A wonderful place to go for fine dining, although a bit expensive. Good service, very kind and friendly staff and wonderful food. They also service excellent wine, which you do not find in every restaurant in Morocco. Go and see the rooftop to look at the city - you feel like in a 1001 night.

We stayed at Dar Roumana and what a great stay it was. A lovely Dar, in a quiet area of the old town. At first I was concerned our room would be noisey as all rooms look over the central courtyard, but this was not a problem at all. This area is only busy at night when the restuarant is... More

Description
An intimate dining experience in a beautiful setting, dinner at Dar Roumana's restaurant is a must-do for any visitor to Fes. Our talented French chef serves Mediterranean food with a Moroccan twist, and can be described as French/Moroccan 'fusion'. Changing daily, the dishes on the menu reflect the produce that's in season and bought fresh from the markets every day. Start with a drink on our roof terrace with spectacular views of the ancient medina of Fes, then dine in our courtyard restaurant. Decorated with colourful zellij tiling, carved cedar wood, a beautiful hand-painted bartal and intricate plaster, the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful. In the winter, reserve a table for two next to our open fire, and in the summer be cooled by the splashing sound of the central fountain. Adding to the romantic setting is the attentive but discreet service. Allow us to transport you to a world of fine cuisine for the evening. We look forward to welcoming you to Dar Roumana. Reservations essential.
