Our Riad made us a reservation here ( Riad Ahlam highly Recommend) and we were picked up by the restaurant's family. The restaurant is in the home of a lovely woman who served the food. It was exsquite with beautiful seating area and dining room. The food was clean and well prepared, clearly with much effort. The Chicken Pie and... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Dar Hatim, from the huge spread of cooked salads to the lamb tagine (melt-in-your-mouth tender) and the chicken b'stilla. There is no alcohol but you can bring your own wine.

The owner picked us up at our riad and drove us across town to an area close to the restaurant where he parked the car. He led us through several small streets which became alleys, narrower and even narrower. Fewer and fewer lights. Then he knocked on a great wooden door with a lantern overhead. Inside we went to a... When in Fes, if I recommended nothing else, I would recommend dinner at this fine restaurant. We were welcomed into their home with open arms and served momma's finest cooking! I can't tell what I liked best, it was all deliciously fabulous! We were all raving about our meal, sharing plates to get a taste of each other's. The dessert... More

Although we have been made really welcome by the lovely owners, the home restaurant has become a bit touristy. Dinner choices were limited due to the menu options and the quality of food let us down a bit.

I came as part of a tour on the advice of our tour leader. The food was fantastic and they made me a vegetarian version on the chicken pie which was very accommodating! Also lovely decor and felt homely and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

We (7) came here on the suggestion of our tour group leader, only to discover the restaurant is actually in the home of a resident living in the medina. As such the food is home cooking & the lady owner/chef came out to introduce herself & explain the meal we were about to enjoy which was a nice touch. We... More

Delicious, authentic and nutritious Moroccan food. Vegetarian friendly and reasonably priced. A hidden gem & a perfect place to relax away from the medina madness!

We rarely, if ever, eat twice in the same place during our "discovery trip" to new destination. Karima, I don't know if we come back to Fes, but meeting with you again could be a good reason to do so! Dear fellow travelers, don't miss this excellent "family-home-turned-restaurant with beautiful painted ceilings" (Lonely Planet). I wasn't huge fan of Moroccan... More

The best vegetable pastille that I had was here. We were treated with warm hospitality and great food in a truly charming setting. It is so great to see Moroccan owned businesses being successful and Dar Hatim is a gem.
