First I like the fact that this did not visually scream with bright colors. It is a soothing black and white tiles and some interesting art. But the food is really good and not touristy.

Four of us had a delicious meal here in March 2016, the staff were attentive and the food was wonderful.

We were staying around the corner at Riad Laaroussa (about which I can't rave enough), so this was a very convenient 5 step walk away. We ate on the early side, so the restaurant wasn't too noisy, but it has a charmingly peaceful interior. The prix fixe meal was very tasty, but there is so much good food in Morocco,... More

Even with my Hungarian/Med middle-class wog background, there are only just so much mountains of tagines that one can consume in three days.... but relief was at hand with my zucchini in spiced labna, followed by a spicy pasta dish with courgettes, olives and cheese that concocts new images of non-local cuisine. The change from tagine does not involve guilt...... More

We went to No.7 twice while in Fez and loved it. Each night we were served 5 very different dishes, cooked with local ingredients but in a surprisingly different way to the tradicional cuisine. Anna, the current chef, mixed together ingredients in a very creative way and brought out the true flavour of everything. I remember pickled capers flowers and... More

The concept is interesting, chefs in residence with the obligation to cook with local products but not local food, the place is nice and the food is good, although too pricy (for local standards) for what it is, the service was really average. We tried diffrent restaurants with excellent typical morrocan food, much cheaper so I t if you are... More

Numero 7 brings talented chefs to Fes - to learn how to cook with local ingredients. It sounds very interesting, and the food is very nicely prepared. But the dishes are neither European nor Moroccan in any way that's very engaging. In addition, the Riad courtyard has been decorated in a hard-edged way that loses the charm of a traditional... This was such a gem- our favourite dinner in Fez. Now I have to say we had been in Morocco for 5 nights before this and had experienced many traditional meals- so this unique and creative cuisine was very welcome. It was a set menu with 5 courses. One was better than the next. The chef changes every several weeks... More

Positives: A fantastic evening. A unique concept and experience that you would not expect it little, old Fez. But what a gem! The decor was fabulous. The chef took the time to come and explain the menu to us and even created a special vegetarian option for my girlfriend. Food was inventive and modern with a Moroccan twist. All very,... More

We had dinner at this gorgeous restaurant at the end of April. We had let them know of our dietary restrictions ahead, but were still so pleasantly surprised to the extent that they accommodated us. The food was absolutely delicious and our meal felt very special. Anna, one of the chefs, was so friendly and explained each of our courses... More

NUR Restaurant is situated in the heart of the fes medina: the cradle of Moroccan gastronomy. The medina is filled with local markets offering a cornucopia of seasonal flavours. From tiny, thin-skinned lemons to sumptuous white mulberries, wild thistle hearts and salted, pickled plums, bunches of sage, mint and coriander, live chickens and camel's milk, it is a feast for senses on every level. The goal of NUR (Arabic for "light") is to shine a light on playful Moroccan cuisine.
