Tucked away down an alley, this Riad /restaurant was recommended to us by the Riad Itrane where we were staying for 7 nights. Can't fault it. Italian and traditional Moroccan food in exquisite surroundings. The Service was attentive but not intrusive - even the sparkling water was poured each time by the waiter as well as the wonderful local vino.... More

The prices are higher than most moroccan restaurants, but in exchange you get a calmer, more romantic atmosphere and a european menu. Once you get tired of tagine and couscous, you'll probably want to change things up, and Pepe Nero was the perfect place for us.

After eating tagine chicken , lamb, goats etc you need to eat something more familiar like a pasta. You also wish to have the atmosphere and good service you normally have in a Medina Riad . So Pepe Nero , is the place to go with the internal patio , the decorative water holes. But you have to find it... More

The restaurant itself really was beautiful. Very romantic and had a lovely ambiance. The staff were really friendly and whilst the service was good to begin with they were less attentive as the evening got busier. The food and wine was very very average and was over priced. Also, it's quite out of the way to get to and as... More

Whilst there is both a Moroccan and Italian menu - we chose the Italian option & were very glad we did so. From the moment you enter this beautifully restored Riad there is a sense of peace and elegance. The service is attentive & experienced whilst the food is of high quality and authentic. A very nice lasagne was not... More

We visited with my 2 teenagers and thought it was fabulous. Fine dining in a romantic setting but a few families also enjoying the grown-up feel. We had 3 courses which were truly beautifully presented and as delicious.Quite tricky to fund but we were walked in from a nearby square and service was excellent. I would recommend a visit to... Had a really lovely meal here. The setting is truly gorgeous in an old riad with a beautiful fountain filled with roses in the middle of the tables and orange trees as well. The food was superb, we had the chefs salad/pigeon pie as starters and the king prawn risotto/chicken tortellini as mains. All portions were really generous, so we... More

Great night out. It's actually inside a Riad, behind the central patio of the Riad is the restaurant. Even the raid looks beautiful. Had penguin pastilla and the Sicilian dessert, half bottle of wine. All are great. Wine can't compare with Italian but good enough.:) waiter also very polite and elegant; the whole evening makes you forget the chaos of... More

After reading some very glowing reviews for this restaurant our expectations were probably too high. The food was good but more to the standard of a good local Italian than fine dining. Also we had read the interior was spectacular, and whilst it is attractive it is no more grand than a good Riad. The service was very aloof and... More

Description
PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.
