I adored the music, the place is chill and the people are really cool and open minded! The drinks are delicious and affordable.

The interior is very nicely put together, the reggae music creates a relaxed vibe. The major negative point is the smoking inside, which is not very pleasant when trying to enjoy eating. The food was well flavoured and well portioned as well. The drinks too were very nice. The overall feeling was more carribean than african, but perhaps I was... More

Tasty, cheap and good service. Menu is relatively small, but good quality. Smoky inside so sit outside if this bothers you. Smoothie and a beef and rice curry for around £6.

After long walk around the medina this was an oasis of refreshement, clearly popular with locals, however, very welcoming to tourists as well. A much needed The Noir avec lait, (black tea with milk). THe chap who served us and was patient with my terrible Arabic and slightly better French. He even replied in English to help.

I came here for food and i had to wait 1h40 min and still my food hasn't arrived. They are unbelievably slow and they forget that you asked them about anything People came after me and got served right away I had to leave elsewhere and the service was away better.

We found cafe Mama Africa after reading the reviews and wanted something a bit different for lunch. Its a very nice place in the new town. Not touristic at all with great food and big portions. The prices were really good compared with the rest of the places we've eaten in Marrakech. The only downside is that people smoke inside.... More

If you want a 90 minute wait in a very smokey atmosphere this is the place for you. Don't mean to be so negative but on the whole the evening was disappointing and we had expected more after reading the reviews. Once the food arrived it was edible but mainly cold and most members of our party did not eat... More

The place is excellent for lunch. Food is amazing and definitely value for money. This is one of the best places we had lunch in Marrakesh.

Description
May be spelled Africa not Afrika. They have a Facebook page and multiple Google entries. Fusion African food in a lively, trendy cafe in the new town. Popular with "cool" locals and tourists. Young hip staff and very good value meals and fruit cocktails.
