A classical Marrakesh restaurant, offering the basic menu you can expect here. The Kefta Tajin was okay, and their orange juice was a bit dissapointing. Their staff is friendly, but not well organised. Tip: their kitchen closes after 9pm, which they don't mention on their...More

Quite a busy restaurant but decent amount of space as it had multiple terraces. In a really good spot which is a bit quieter from the madness of the main square. The menu is simple but delicious - highly recommend the Lamb Tagine (delicious sauce...More

Came here on my own for dinner. They sat me at a table then dumped a party of five on my table of 4. There was not enough room for us all so I moved on my own accord to a table at the back....More

Lively cafe on the edge of the spice market, with street front and upstairs seating and a great view of the basket decorators! A short, uncomplicated menu but a good one. Great salads and vegetables, interesting tagines (chicken and caramelized pears recommended) and a moroccan-style...More

We stopped for coffee and desert here a few times. The staff are lovely, especially Younes, always cracking a joke and super smiley. Their pistachio chocolate brownies are nice and I especially liked their Nos Nos coffees. Lovely chilled music and relaxing, friendly atmosphere.

This is a good place for a drink or for a meal. All levels of the building are interesting but the rooftop is worth the effort needed to climb the stairs. Efficient service and reasonably priced.

We had coffee here and also dinner on another occasion. Like a lot of the establishments here it has several levels including a rooftop terrace. The coffee was good, the brownie was huge and the waitress was friendly and attentive. On the other hand, the...More

Description
In the heart of the Medina and Souks of Marrakech lies the Rahba Kedima spice square, where old women gather to pound henna for traditional tattoos and sell hand knitted hats, while seasoned vendors run the surrounding spice stores.
Within this setting is the now famed Cafe des Epices, the perfect meeting place and rest stop from the heat and commotion of the souks. The inexpensive menu is focused on the simple and fresh, offering teas and coffee, freshly made juices, sandwiches, salads and crepes. The design is correspondingly simple: deliberately paired down and basic in order to offer a peaceful resting place after the visual overload of the Souks.
Built over 3 floors, the top terrace offers great views over the square and surrounding Medina, the non-smoking 2nd floor salon is a great place to lounge and the ground floor and outdoor tables are fantastic places from which to watch the colourful comings and goings of the spice square market.
