The EU-UNICEF-GIZ organised a Seminar 17-18 Feb 2016 and the Wellington Conference room allocated for our large group was spacious, quiet, clean, and cool. The service rendered was attentive and friendly. The open buffet served had a very good selection of dishes - meat, fish, salads, Indian and a variety of lovely fresh fruits, cakes and tasty desserts. We all... More

Ate here for a prolonged stay without car. Food has good variety, with Italian, Indian, and Tanzanian dishes. Prices reasonable and staff is wonderful. The setting in the courtyard is very pleasant.

During our latest visit to Dar Es Salaam in second week of January 2016 we have stayed in the Protea Courtyard Hotel. Langi Langi Restaurant is in this hotel only. The chef Mr. Shiv prepared numbers of mouth licking dishes for us like lobster dish, prawn dishes, etc. as well as various Indian cuisines. We like the dishes although it... More

Dear Partha D Good day, thank you for dining with us and taking time to write this review. I am glad that you enjoyed the food and service. We import quite a lot of ingredients used. This, coupled with the choice of items such as lobster, prawns etc is probably why you felt the prices are on the higher side.... More

I never ate so good. I had as many things from their menu as possible. All of which met standards and then some. I met two chefs who provided excellent service and paid particular attention to my diary needs. Just try both lobster dishes. WOW!

The Protea Courtyard Hotel Restaurant has a nice inner courtyard around a small swimming pool. It is a very relaxing place to enjoy a quiet outside lunch although the busy city is close by. Good fruit cocktails, very good Indian and classical Tanzanian food. One of the best places for lunch in Dar.

Where I live it is fairly uncommon to find a burger worth ordering... I was not disappointed with Protea's delicious thick patty, toppings, ample fries and fresh bread!
