The Palm offers unique quality meal for fine diners and its proximity to the habour and city central business district makes it ideal location for business lunches or dinners

Unprepared for the posh spaces, lunch was called for the delegates to the consultative meeting between the Women members of parliament and the women CSOs. As I entered and quickly checked the four walls, I said wow ! and sat in the company of new faces to appreciate every item on the menu. Local and international cuisines were available and... More

went on a Tuesday which was arabic night, the food was fantastic (lamb stew+couscous and mezze off the chains!) the staff really looked after us. I look forward to trying the different theme nights, as every time I come here I am never disappointed!

It happened I was in Tanzania for thanksgiving and the restaurant in the lobby had an amazing theme dinner at that time. Quality and variety of the food options were great and tasty from the international cuisine to barbecue. I saw the chef approaching every table and making sure everyone is happy and approached ours to make sure everything is... More

Have been a regular in Palm. Most of the chef's are very accomodating and can help you with food choices even if not on the menu. Buffet break fast is generally good. Recommended.

There's tea and coffee (admittedly a bit variable in quality) of course, breads, cheeses, fresh fruit (mango, melon, pineapple), as well as freshly-cooked eggs to your style (omelette etc), salads, and so on. Also local hot food (congee, Indian snacks, fried potatoes). And the choice is a little different each day, so there's scope for a bit of variety.

My fiancé and I had 6 hours between our flights so made our way here. The forty minute drive was worth it. The setting is lovely and the service is what you would expect for this sort of hotel. We both had the buffet at 50 00 Tsh and were not disappointed. Filled with delicious courses.

Palm has changed a few things. Apart from a fairly new chef with new set ups, new a la carte menu, Arabic theme lunches from Monday to Friday, new tea supplier with awesome loose tea. Definitely worth a visit. Especially that the kids below 6 are free of charge.

I generally love breakfast in an African hotel after traveling in Europe but the Palm was disappointing. The food looked dry and overlooked. Desperately needs some refreshing.
