We stayed nearby (in N1 Hotel) and had a lunch here as our first meal in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. We ordered African food which was tasty and interesting to us. My friends like the curry chicken much in particular. Service ok. Price rather high, as compared with the restaurants in Livingstone, Zambia. The decor is African, colourful, interesting to us.... We went there and there was only one attendant. We sat on a table waiting to be served and unfortunately the lady could not even come to our table as she had been busy trying to fix the wrong order for another customer. We ended up walking away before we we're served.

Their hunters pot was the best of 3 dishes ordered. Nothing wrong with the chicken but not remarkable.

Lovely local romantic atmosphere. However we had a kudu stew for dinner and it was tough as old boots. I've never had kudu so asked some relatives in zim what it should be like and they all said it should be tender. Maybe I had an unlucky menu choice. I would visit again though as it would be nice for... More

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant eating outside (although on a hot evening, you don't get much relief). Great food and prices. Lots of peanut butter flavored food. Would definitely go back!

Most of the restaurants I saw are tied with very touristy things, like lots of young people dancing to drums, or are not that different from fast-food outlets available anywhere else (like KFC). But Mama Africa, slightly off the beaten path, was clean, attractive, with a nice staff and menu, a good suggestion by my Rafting guide. One note: you... More
