This is unquestionably the best restaurant in Niamey. First, one must set their expectations appropriately for the capital of the poorest country in the world. That said, this is a great restaurant. First and foremost, security is excellent. Service is always very good. The food is also very good. The shrimp beignets are my favorite appetizer. The raviolis are all... More

Nice restaurant a bit expensive for the city (about 35 EUR per person with water as drink) therefore the place is a bit select. Most dishes are Italian oriented (owner is Italian). Few photo books can be consulted in the restaurant and relate the history of the travels of the owner in Niger over the last 40+ years. Interesting.

Pilier is one of those "incontournables" in Niamey as everyone flocks there and security is reasonable. I for my part was never excited about the food but it's very decent most of the time.

A cute little place with inside and outside dining. The atmosphere is interesting and quant it has a Southwestern feel with an Italian flair. The food was great and made fresh, the service was good and the place was clean! Go there.

A dinner at Le Pilier is a must do in Niamey, something like doing the Eiffel tower in Paris. The food is French/Italian and I recommend the "Jarret de Mouton" . However, avoid the "vin de la maison" and go for a bottled one if you want a good wine with the food. They will sometime have live music, or... More

I ve been there a few times over the year and it is def one of the best in Niamey. You always know what to expect and we ve never been disappointed. Food is always really good and the staff extra nice. In big groups or just for two it is perfect. The decoration is lovely and really give the... More

Le Pilier is easily one of the best Restaurants in Niamey and I suggest, an essential part of any visit. Arriving there is always an interesting experience. Because of the clientelle it attracts, the security is the highest of any restaurant outside the big hotels. But once you're in past them you step into a different world of relaxation and... More

It is difficult to combine the worst feautures of Africa and Italy in one place but Le Pilier manages to do just that, with a good measure of French pretentiousness. Food is awful, it takes hours and hours to come, service is appalling, the decor is crass, the bill is exorbitant for local standards and the overall treatment is as... More

The people are welcoming and the food was good. The only thing was that they take more time to fix the dish.
