Small private little bar with funky tunes. Great escape from the bustle of the streets. Food simple but perfect accompaniment to beers

If you want a place where you can 'chill', where the music is not crazy but takes you to a zen mode, then it's a place you must visit. The comfy seating arrangements and a reggae decor makes this place a worth remembering and revisiting. The food is decent, but there's much better places around. So if you want an... More

I was getting suspicious when I saw the chef come out of the toilet without washing his hands and go straight into the kitchen. My friend can still barely leave the bathroom from the diarrhea he got at Phat Kath.

We came here for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive yet relaxed staff, lovely food, great music and superb surroundings. Nice diverse menu also. We will be back.

However, I had the local Nepal vegetarian set meal which was only a few hundred rupees and was actually very tasty. Then I visited the toilet and felt quite ill. It was disgustingly filthy, and overflowing. My fellow travellers were still... More

I had a terrible experience today at Phat Kath. We were a group of people and after asking for our food and waited for more than one hour and a half, some of us we had yet no food to eat, either some of the drinks were missing.

Reggae tunes and french dining in a jungle style setting. Just step through a doorway and you enter another world. Overlooking a huge courtyard, this jungle style meandering mezzanine will make you forget that you are in the middle of Thamel. Great food and sweet reggae tunes...Positive vibrations man...
