good Cantonese food but nothing special and not worth the wait - very cramped tables with 7 people crammed into a table for 4. xiao long bao for which they are famous are available at many restaurants.

Cannot visit Taipei without having them. Of course it's a chain, but it's absolutely delicious and worth a visit!

I've eaten at several Di Tai Fung restaurants so it was great to eat at the original. It did not disappoint! Food was so so good and staff were great!

Never disappointed. To avoid a long wait, go for either a late lunch or early dinner! For dessert, go around the corner to Mango Cha Cha.

The food is great and nice. Long queue so have to plan ahead and go early. Price is not cheap but acceptable. Xiao Long Pao and Beef Noodle is nice. Recommend to try.

Although Din Tai Fung has several branches in other countries, the original one in Taipei still taste the best! Besides the dumplings, must order their spicy shrimp wonton!!

Me and my boyfriend heard about this resturant and got really interested to try it. Me boyfriend (who is Korean) absolutely loves dumplings, so he didn't mind the fact that we had to wait over an hour to get in. And the result? Meh... Not worth it at all to be honest. It was good yes , but not worth... More

I've had Din Tai Fung in Los Angeles, Singapore, but never in Taiwan. Was subject to the usual hour-plus wait, but the food was SOOO good. The soup dumplings were divine. Had a lot of other dishes, finished it off with red bean dumplings. Incredible. Can't get enough of this place, in any country!

The first eatery we stopped by in Taipei was the birth place of the probably the most famous Chinese restaurant in the world: Din Tai Fung. There was a huge crowd queuing outside the store. The menu offered slightly more choices than that of the franchise in Singapore. The service was even more impressive but the quality of the food... More

Was as I expected, delicious food. We went there at about 4 pm. That's a good time to avoid tour groups and lunch crowd. We were seated within barely 2-3 mins. Food was really really good. I'd recommend getting beer with your meal. Very satisfying. Service was great, incredibly friendly. The cutlet fried rice is a must try. Very cosy... More
