We wouldn't have come here if we hadn't watched Rick Stein's programme. It was a little absurd because on the door it said the restaurant would open at 14, yet it was already open at 13.30. The Young waitresses were quite shy and had very...More

I blame Rick Stein! Was featured on one of his programs and looked good - food certainly. Food "fit for a King" he said. Well didn't even get that far. Took the trouble to walk up for Lunch when I was at flower market. I...More

I highly recommend ordering the green curry. The service was great, the old Thai waitress was very welcoming and the place is very homey.

We popped here on the basis of the lonely planet. Unfortunately it took a huge amount of time to get a table, in that time we watched various tables ignored when they were trying to pay and order - which meant we were waiting for...More

I wonder if this place would've been half as popular had Rick Stein not have highlighted it on his Far Eastern Odyssey? We tried to find this place on a previous visit during the evening which was not good as they don’t open for dinner,...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
