Every time that I go to eat at Banana House, I always remind about my mom's. The cuisine is not fancy but I give 5 of 5 of the taste. You can order from Fired Rice - Tom Yum Kung. I have a bit complaint about closed time and restaurant holidays that it's very early ( 5 pm ) and... More

What a great menu and sensational quality. As usual I couldn't make my mind up and over ordered but the staff were happy to give me a doggy bag and take the left overs back to the hotel. Fantastic staff, friendly efficient and courteous. A must return to restaurant.

Low key, off the beaten path with great food at decent prices. Service is hit and miss but worth the quirks. Decor needs some modernization but it's the food that's the main attraction.

Quiet place along Silom but definitely worth the visit. Their Pineapple Fried Rice and Steamed Clams makes me come back each time.

Good local food at decent prices just off Silom Road. When there for dinner with colleagues and had a good selection of local fare. Decor was basic and service was acceptable, at least when you manage to get yourself understood. The staff, with one exception could not understand English. Ok, we are in Bangkok, but my expectation is that having... More

Excellent lunch. The meal was excellent, many local workers eat here because of the authenticity of the prepared dishes. I ate here several times because the food is delicious. Be cognizant of where you sit relative to the air conditioner - it can get chilly. Highly Recommend.

It looks really fun! But the manager is really miserable and ruined all the fun. The service was despicable! So slow and the quality was just awful. It looks tempting but just avoid at all costs.

Just steps away from Sala Daeng Station, we had lunch at the Banana House. IT all started out with the very courteous and polite greeting of the staff. It was great service right from the get go right down from being assisted to the table to the recommendations for authentic Thai dishes to the speed and quality of service. They... More

Dining at Banana huse was probably one of the worse and most bizzare dinner experience in all our travels. It started OK, we got the menus and ordered quite fast. There were 12 staff that we saw in the restaurant and we were the only clients, so I would expect that everything will go OK. We received our mains before... More

I went here with my kids. Kids run around and make noise, I was about to keep them claim down and make them sit. Siddenly, the manager come and hit one of my kid on her hea I said you can't do that, you should blame me but not hit the child. The manager challenged me to go Bangruk police... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
