This place is pretty horrid. Only seating at the counter. Both the staff and the customers compete in being rude. Customers were wholly the suspicious kinds from the Middle East and Africa -- these are not tourists with families but odd characters that seems to have made the Nana area their home. They are rude to the staff. Staff are... More

Great place for budget food. It's very clean and everything cooked fresh. Open 24 hours. Even the coffee is fresh ground espresso, cheaper and better than Starbucks. No need to take a risk eating the plethora of dirty BKK street food. Highly recommend for the budget conscious adventurer. Your gut will thank you for this safer food choice.

I always come here to eat as its better than most restaurants in the vicinity, cheap cheerful and always cooked well. The fact that its in a supermarket is a plus as if its busy you can shop first. Quick food with a nice easy to read menu, the staff are friendly and easy to talk too.

Relatively wide variety of Thai and Western food at low price but very clean and good quality served to you like you are in McDonalds. They cook it for you in front of your eyes under an air-conditioned atmosphere and they taste authentic. From Thai Cousin specially Green Curry with Chicken to their American Breakfast under $90 bath are exceptional... More

If you're in the Arab area of Soi 5, and kebabs are not on your radar, but a Thai green curry instead, try this stand up eatery. For a budget below Thb 100 per person, you can expect a good wholesome Thai meal cooked in their open kitchen.

A very interesting restaurant experience with a full menu of typical Western and Thai dishes. It reminds me of 1950s-60s restaurants in the US with quick, full service dining 24-hours a day. Staff is always friendly and helpful, food is always fresh and pretty low-priced (portions are Asian and not Western, however). Free flowing iced water always a treat. Full... More

Took Lae Dee (translated: Inexpensive and Good) restaurant is the best choice for western dishes in Bangkok. A great variety of western and thai dishes which won't hurt your valet and great quality too, as they use their own produce from the supermarket Foodland, by far the best quality and selection of western food products.

The restaurant is very good, tasty thai dishes, good choice of local or international food. Good selection of beers. Price very reasonable. Definitely give it a try!

Thinking about eating at the supermarket is not very sexy. But when you eat at the Took lae Dee on Soi 5....you will get a lot of quality for a very low price. We eate Morning Glory, Tum yan khun, Green Curry, Shrimps with black pepper, Fish with black pepper. Every single dish was excellent. And the price? What would... More

A meal for two (I had the fried chicken with cashew nuts, my girlfriend had the fried rice with curry Indian style), with two soft drinks and an extra order of rice was rounded up to 340 baht. Definitely recommend any time of day and night (Open 24/7).

Thank Raul M

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
