Was looking for Burmese food in Bangkok for the last 6 months and had no luck. I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. I was picking up my friend at the airport and my friend asked where is the best shopping area in Bangkok I said Indra Regent after a long day of shopping we were very hungry.Accidentally we finally hit Kalyana restaurant and end up enjoying the authentic Burmese food. I highly recommend this place to anyone (not only Burmese) to come and explore the unique food along with reasonable price.

I always come here with my girlfriend for our special meals but we can't sit here accourding to covid-19 announcement so we choose to order take away food. Food prices here are not expensive, so I recommend to have very good experience of myanmar food at Kalyana restaurant and very nice staff. See you again bro

This restaurant is outstanding! My husband and I went there tonight and as usual, he ordered the dish that I should have. BLAST! It seems to happen every time we go out to a new place. I order a seemingly delightful delicacy, and then the man goes on and orders something I wouldn't have thought to order ... and it turns out to be even more spectacular than the plate I am left with. In this instance, dear reader, I did order the large Mohinga, and it was, I would say, quite above average fish Broth noodle. It had very good broth.
our appetizers were definitely appetizing. We had an order of the Samusas and an order of the Tofu Kyaw. The Tofu Kyaw were Fresh and crunchy with good thick Spicy sauce, and the Samosas were crispy and fried to perfection with a really good rich flavor.
The waiter was lovely - I believe he was the owner. he came by several times to chat and joke with us.
Overall, good times. Go here. Order the Samosa and the Pork Lahpet. You won't regret it!

The restaurant really have a good service. They would come and ask how is the food and it is satisfy Cruz it makes you feel like having food at home cuz of the warm welcome atmosphere by the staffs. You can ask for the anything if you want less spicy or some changes in the menu as I am allergic to some so they would change for us. Very Satisfied great place.

Wow, this place is so good! We had a variety of dishes from here, and although they forgot one order and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes, they did rectify the situation without question.
Flavours and textures were fantastic, like nothing I've ever eaten before.
The place is super busy all of the time, and the service staff do a great job in dealing with the fast-flow environment.
We can't wait to go back!

This place is off the chain!!
Cute little Burmese/Myammar restaurant located on the road that goes past Central Workd(Moe chit) towards the airport link. You'll recognize it by its purple sign glowing out front.
The inside atmosphere and feel are very warm and cozy. I loved it. Little umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, cute cultural knick nacks on the wall, and a big picture of hot air balloons flying over the Myammar landscape.
The food was excellent and i tried a lot!!! Currys, porkchop, soups, noodles, samosa. The samosas are the best ive ever had, not like indian samosa which i find dry and untasty. These are wet inside and delicious, really delicious! The fried tofu was another thing i normally wouldnt have rried, but it was incredible fried inside a wonton, very good. The coconut noodle soup was outstanding. It didnt have a very strong coconut flavor so dont let that throw you off if you are not a coconut fan. It was creamy and the noodles just seemed to melt in your mouth. I couldnt believe how good it was!! Over all the food was amazing, similar to indian cuisine but i felt it was better and while i like indian, this food didnt have all the fire of indian food so i felt it allowed me to really enjoy the flavors and spices of the cuisine.
The staff were warm and friendly, just gave me a real homey type feel. Highly recommend mend this place if you are in Bangkok and want to try something new and kind of off the beaten path.
It was a five star expeeience in my opinion.

Yo! Take my all positive credit.
The food, service, varieties of menu and local atmosphere, karaoke vibe.....
If you are searching such kinds of Burmese restaurant, kalyana is wise choice doubtlessly. I am not overrating this restaurant but I am just submitting my personal review.
The Food is so good. It makes me miss my mother's home. Don't forget to order the signature briyani and Falooda. I have been searching for the Falooda in Bangkok. I never found any single of them. This is the only restaurant where i can get my Falooda. Honestly, the taste is not as good as 'Shwe Pazun' in Myanmar. But it is acceptable. I still can get the Falooda taste. The customer value is very good. Believe me! It is so far so good exceeding your imagination. They prioritize the customer satisfaction more than their profit. I went there with my friends and we did have very good relationship with the owner and the staffs. The owner served the food by himself. He gave us free dessert after our meal. They even make up the new Burmese dessert menu everyday. Get excited what kind of dessert you could have when you visit.
Good news,
He told us that later, he would open the karaoke together with the restaurant. Now during the covid, the karaoke was still innovating. So, we can have Myanmar songs with Myanmar food. What the perfect combination.

I had good authentic burmese food in Myanmar before and I can say Kalyana has authentic taste, quality cooking and well adjusted flavors. Not different than a good restaurant in Myanmar. Good portion size and reasonable prices for the quality. Already been here twice, Highly recommended.

Kalyana is my favorite myanmar restaurant for me. There are many kinds of food but I recommend to try traditional food such as Tofu Neat (in my picture)
It was amazing that I can find myanmar beer in BKK. Good taste ! Best service !

This is the best burmese restaurant in BKK full of Tastes great, very clean, nice staff and service. I have been there more than 5 times with differrent of menus but my favorite is "Burmese tea salad" that I must order every time. Kalyana is located near Pratunam market. Highly recommend.

We visited a restaurant where, unfortunately, we encountered several problems. First, we noticed that the waitstaff were constantly very busy. This clearly reflected in the service. I ordered a dish that included four giant prawns in curry sauce. The dish was slightly overpriced, but that was not the issue itself.
Regrettably, we faced bigger challenges with the service. Our side dishes were forgotten, and we had to ask for them three times. We waited for the sides for almost an hour, during which the waiter suggested we have another round of beers. We assumed this would be a compensation for the long wait, but to our surprise, the beers were added to the final bill.
Overall, our experience was a disappointment. Despite the quality of the food, the lack of service and long waiting times significantly affected the enjoyment of our visit. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return.

I managed to plan a very last minute corporate event for 60 people solely exchanging emails with Kalyana (I am based in Italy), and it was still a success!
The staff proved to be proactive, reliable, open to offer the flexibility and the spirit of initiative required by the situation.
The quality and variety of the food was excellent, and they even organised the musical entertainment.
Definitely recommmend!

The food is delicious and there is plenty of Variety ranging from Myanmar food . The place is accommodating to dinner with comfort seating and lovely , decorative furniture . Mr ram , alongside all staffs were very nicely and friendly . And catering to me and my family’s needs . Fresh food and clean restaurant . Price is reasonable . We enjoy our meal and wonderful experience . Thank you all Kalyan’s owner and his team for delicious food , five stars service and help . This is top notch Burmese food
Been to Burma a few times and really miss the food and flavours but was so surprised to find this in Bangkok
An amazing array of wonderful dishes, prepared with love and some at your table (like the fabulous tea salad, a must for everyone) staff are so passionate about the food, the vibe and the culture of their country.
We ordered a load of dishes we hadn’t had before (tea salad exception) and each dish was cooked individually, incorporating its own individual taste and flavours. The quality shone through.
And as for the service it was outstanding
Well done
This was not a spicy offering, Burmese food is completely different to Thai.
