Unfortunately Tealicious was full, which is a small very good restaurant nearby. This place was full so we gave it a try. Now i wonder why it is busy. Prices are relatively high, 370 or so for Sateh. The salad was very salty...I think they use a lot of MSG..unhealthy. Chicken sateh, was large but not good, lack of taste.... More

Probably the best cappuccino in the area. And super nice friendly staff. I also appreciate the music, a mix of old style tangos while I was there.

We read the reviews and, as we were staying nearby and looking for a cheap and cheerful dinner option, we thought we would give it a go. Something must have happened since the previous reviews. Whilst the decor and vibe is kind of "artsy, hipster cool" (which we liked), the food was disappointing. We were expecting fresh Thai flavours, but... More

It was nice to find here a nice, creative heaven with very original decoration and friendly staff. The drinks and food were very tasty, not too many tourists around.

They are very welcoming and the food is fantastic! We tried the vegetarian curry and the Phad Thai with shrimps and it was delicious! If only one day in Bangkok you must eat this!!

Been here one year ago and now again. Still the best vegetarian Thai curry in Bangkok. And I'm not even a veggy ;) but this combination of flavor and spices is unrivaled! Not if you are seeking western taste though. Ask to make it proper spicy of you dare ;D it adds to the taste! Running nose guaranteed. Pour it... More

We were lucky enough to spot this little gem while out walking and as it was literally a stones throw from our hotel, we went there one night when we were a bit tired to go too far. We're so glad that we went there. The food was so good. It's pricey but nothing like Thai food prices in Britain... More

On a side street, away from the bustle of downtown Bangkok, is this little beut of a restaurant. The food is immensely good. Prices are only slightly higher than normal (around 350bht or £7 for a main; still very cheap!). Portion sizes are huge so you can save by sharing and still be full. The service is probably the best... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
