When this was an evening restaurant it offered great food and service, however it now only offers breakfast, as the Red Rose restaurant has been relocated downstairs in the hotel. Due to Burasari Group taking over the hotel, your main cooked breakfast is no longer buffet and now coked to order, be aware due to hotel takeover 90% of the... More

What a lovely breakfast experienced at this restuarant! A mix of thai, "western" and fresh fruit served. The staff is quite friendly and attentive. Just my 2c.

I didn't stay in the Hotel but booked a meal in the Cotton Club online before arriving in Bangkok, I read a review about it on the web so thought I'd give it a try, 1920's China style sounded good and the food looked very inviting, I arrived early enough to enjoy a cold beer listening to the Jazz player/singer... After running all over Bangkok on a tour each day we'd come home to the bar at Shaghai Mansion and I'd enjoy a cold Chang. The place was always cool and comfortable and the service is super attentive. The best deal is during happy hour for drinks. We ate a couple of meals during our stay and the food was... More

We stayed at Shangei Mansion in the heart of Chinatown and found ourselves grabbing drinks here after sight seeing for the day, or to relax listening to the live jazz music. The prices are certainly not cheap, but it is relaxing and the food was good when we did eat there one day instead of just drinks. A 10% service... More

Only popped in for a drink. Was surprised how modern and clean the bar was. Great atmosphere, firendly staff and good music. Prices average. Would return as a couple for a few drinks if I wanted a romantic evening.

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
