The menu is fairly thorough, with antipasti, salads, several pasta dishes, fish, meats, etc. We had an antipati plate with several sliced meats (prosciutto, sausages and pickeled veggies, but very little cheese) it was nice as a warmup to main dishes. I had a spaghetti and margherita pizza, my dining partners had a veal and a lamb shank. We all... More

This simple, friendly restaurant serves marvelous Milanese cuisine (try the mushroom risotto -- yummy!). The kind owner was helpful in pointing us to the specialties cooked by his son. If you are in the neighborhood or simply ready for a change, try it!

Just tried La Buca for the first time and wasn't impressed. Average Italian food for Bangkok but way overpriced. It's a small hole in the wall place with a drab interior. There are plenty of better options in the same area. The seafood risotto was heavily loaded with squid (calamari) , obviously the cheap option in a seafood dish and... More

Simple place with good italian food but expensive like a 3 stars Michelin. I guess the owner try to make the most of a small place and few table. Overpriced!

Great Italian restaurant located at 220/4 Sukhumvit Soi 1, Bangkok, on right hand side as you walk up Soi 1 and is just before the first road into Bumrungrad Hospital. If you blink you might miss the entrance so be watchful, look for Mr Oreste the owner, who sometimes sits outside. He is 'the man', knows his food, wine and... More

I've been eating here for more than 10 years. I enjoy their pasta very much, especially their "Paradiso" with foie gras and truffle. La Buca cake has a lot of alcohol and is one of my favorite dessert.

Delicious authentic italian food, most ingredients are imported from italy. Owner from italy, very friendly and chatty. Located near Bumrungrad hospital, if you are around don't miss out on this little gem.

Found this on a walkabout escape from Bumrungad International Hospital, and had an absolutely fabulous meal. It really brought me back to the summer I spent in Italy trying to pick up Italian(s) at the local trattoria. Wine selection had a good range, and there were lots of pictures on the menu.

This is a small Italian Restaurant that is run by an Italian owner. The food was amazing. The prices are average but certainly a great meal. Must check out.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
