The taste of the noodle is good, but the portion of the ingredients such as meat or vegetable are small. This miso soup has rich flavour but very oily and salty.

I'm certainly a ramen fan. I also love garlic. I had the luxury of enjoying them both together! My goal is to try all the ramen shops in Ramen Champion. I've got 2 left to go. My favorite was the shop that provided fresh garlic and a garlic press as a condiment. I may have gone over board. I do... More

Simply put Ramen Champions is a collection of several different ramen shops from Japan I believe. I like the open air set up but the hardest thing is picking which ramen place to eat at because they're all pretty good. I should say though that my favorite one is the...I forget the name but its the shop with the picture... More

Question: How many noodle shops does it take to offer a decent Ramen in Thong Lor? Answer: Apparently six. The complex is the brainchild of Oishi’s founder Mr Tan and you cannot miss the smiling life size doll like replica of what to me looks like the character from Postman Pat but allegedly it is Mr Tan himself. Good to... More

6 ramen champion restaurants in one location, each offering a limited specialty menu. Ramen is quite unlike any other, and this is exactly why they are recognized as Ramen Champions. This must be the best ramen outside of Japan. The fun is eating through as many bowls of ramen as you can so you can get a taste of the... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
