Searched on google for something near the hotel and this popped up. Was directed through some really small sois and literally through a slum area and upon arrival… it was nearly packed at 20.30pm!! The staff were really friendly and the boss lady herself always...a smiling face. Definitely recommended.More
Pee 'Aor or P' Aor is located just off Pratunam Road. It's located in one of the back roads. Local public transportation like buses serve the main road located some 300m from the noodle shop. It's definitely for travellers looking for a 'zing' in the...Tomyum Gung. Apparently, many Southeast Asian tourists who hail from Singapore and Malaysia frequented this place. The shop has a hawker fare feel with simple wooden tables and chairs. Inside, on one side the walls are plastered with photos of customers and perhaos celebrities. On other side, there are glass cabinets fill with anime figurines collections and not forgetting DC, Marvel, etc, figurines and various others from matchboxes cars. The food menu looks deliciously appetising enough to gawk at for minutes. Then we have our delicious bowls of Tomyum Gung. The prawns are massively delicious and sumptuous to melt inside the mouth. Some has complained that P'Aor's Tomyum Gung isn't spicy enough. Well, these people aren't connoisseurs of food. Tomyum Gung in Bangkok isn't supposed to be really hot. The gist of the taste is balance, that is the prawn meat, the soup and the essence of coconut with the tamarind and the chillies. As such, the blend of this is about smoothness to your pallete. Of course, if patrons are looking for just seafood with a ton of heat from the spice, sorry, this isn't the place. In fact Bangkok's food isn't that spicy nowadays to appease those from Western countries that have yet to maximise their pallete to take heat. All in all, thumbs up from me and my American friend from Florida. Don't forget to choose the type of noodles you like. As for me, green's the colour of the noodle because it's healthy.More
Pretty good seafood in the bowl. Quantity - good for 3-4 people. 1500 baht so kinda worth it. Tom yum is average, the kind that makes you thirsty later on. Probably added too much msg. A non touristy area so enjoyed the walk to this...eatery.More
Really great tom yum gong. One of the best I had during my bangkok trip! Worth the visit if you are around the area! Would go again on my next trip
We tried the lobster version. Generally the tom yum is not spicy and doesnt give the oomph feeling like those from Jeh o Chula.
The food is nice and the portions are ok for the price paid. Not spicy. We went early, we were the first few that went in first. The place is quite small, it can accommodate about 25 people +/-. Sitting bench is small for a...plus size girl like me.More
This is best tom yum goong noodles for me. All the ingrdients very fresh, specialy for the seafood (shrimp, squid and fish). The taste was very good, not too spicy (but u can order more spicy if u want). Must try if u visit Bangkok😍
The Tom Yum soup was not bad. Place was full of tourists. I feel abit over rated. Prawn was not very fresh actually. The egg roe omelette rice was not too bad.
The prawn crab roe omelette rice is quite normal nothing to shout about. Tom Yum soup was nice though. It's a long walk from the main road and not many locals know this shop.
Authentic Thai tom yum noodle soup. The place is a hidden gem in Bangkok. Serving is relatively small which means you can order a second serving without guilt.
Very dissapointed with the waiters ! Very rude with customer and not friendly. The food nice but serve very slow and the place small and hot
Food is nice and decent, nothing to shout loud for, over rated somehow OR quality drops, I duno.. However BAD customer service, not putting customers' interests, just greedy for sales. you can have my sales for today and no more next time.
Small place, Less then average cleanliness. No beautiful female boss around like the pictures, Food was over-rated by reviews. It is not as good as it seems.
The cleanliness is below regular fast food chain standard, since it’s an open door shop and flies flying around my table occasionally. Ordered the shrimp egg roll and crab meat balls, both good enough but nothing amazing. The Tom yum gong lobster that every one...ordered has one lobster around 1-1.5 lbs, three midget prawns,(size of the head is same as any other prawns but the body is much shorter), the round white sharpe stuff is tofu, not scallop, two regular mussels, two big slice of salmon meat, but doesn’t quite go with the rest of the dish, one squid cut to circles but still attached to each other, the waitress has to cut them up for me with the lobster, the eggs are substandard vs most Japanese chain restaurants. The crab in the picture is no where to be found in my bowl.... the soup is really good and you can tell they used a lot of coconut milk or powder, but overall it’s not up to it’s hype. I would skip this if I’m coming back to Bangkok again.More
