Poor experience at the cafe. Cafe has preference to sit "perceived high spenders" at larger tables. We are a group of 3 and assigned to a small table, whereas other groups of 2 were assigned the larger table. We saw a larger table being vacated,...and we were not allowed to change our table upon checking with the manager. It's unfortunate that a restaurant discriminates based on its perceived image of the customers.More

You can just walk in the cafe and take a seat no greeting at the door. A very pleasant waiter and we enjoyed are coffee, tea and cake. For the Mandarin Oriental I felt that it should have been better especially the seating. Still worth...a visit if your in the ParagonMore

First time I try afternoon tea set from visa infinite privileges here Food very tasty and delicious in every single pieces All 11 items and 1 pot of tea Drink is not normal they only give you only one pot of tea , can ask...for more hot water but they brew one time for you only so no more tea leaf left. If you need to keep tea bag for refill more water have to tell them in advance Staff is less attentive than at hotel itselfMore

Naturally, one shows almost unfaltering faith when visiting any establishment with the name Mandarin Oriental. But, the experience at Paragon branch was far from expectation of what was usually very enjoyable. Their sweet selections - seemingly plentiful and lots to choose from- were barely fresh...despite the large volume of visitors to the shop the day I visited. Out of the four macarons I ordered, there was only one (salted caramel) that was pleasantly soft and fresh enough to enjoy. The rest became old with evidently hardened crust turned crusty. The lemon tart - although presented nicely - was overpowering with the citrus and sweetness (too sour and very very sweet). On the bright side I will note here, is their consistent service. Staff were keen and accommodating the MO standard. The beverages myself and companion had were the coffee and they were enjoyable. That said, the snack / nibbler aspect of the shop is the only thing that drags the expectation of this once enjoyable venue for quality treats the MO standard. Quality checks highly advised for the sweets here, as seen evidently throughout the most recent testimonies. From my own experience, I hands-down confirm that the quality has become subpar with the sweets; and am hoping it doesn't extend to their other menus. I'd want revisit the cafe in better faith of their usually revered MO quality.More

So dispiriting! I am a fan of MO however almost every week I am at their Paragon cafe and every week the food is served cold. I ask for it to be hot, let anyone warm, however it seems to be an impossible task. To...add insult to the over priced fare the sausages roll pastry is inevitably under cooked - see for yourself! Staff try hard though!More

When you walk through the door, there before you is a display of truly mouthwatering cakes and tarts which are irresistible! OK, they are not the cheapest but they are worth every baht. The staff are very welcoming and service is, as you would expect,...very professional, friendly and efficient. There's a wide variety of different coffees and teas as well as a good selection of iced drinks. The hot ginger tea was very good indeed and whilst the Americano coffee could have been a little hotter, the flavour was perfect with no bitter aftertaste. The most difficult decision was deciding which cake to order and in the end I settled for a chocolate and passion fruit creation...superb. Before leaving check out the other goods on offer - a good selection of gifts etc.More

Really bad macarons and baguette. Went today Sat 05/09 around 11am to buy one macarons box 6 pcs and 1 baguette. If I recall well I ordered macarons: pistachio, Dolce&leche, passion fruit, Jasmin&mandarin, salted caramel and hazelnut. It was a huge disappointment as 2 macarons...out of 6 was fresh (salted caramel and jasmin&mandarin). The others macarons wasn’t fresh and I guess was in display for few days as they was hard and bad quality. When I’m buying food at Mandarin Oriental Shop I always expect the highest quality and freshness of the food. I trust the brand but today was really unacceptable and below MO standards. The Executive Chef and Management should be aware that at MO Shop at Siam Paragon the staff are selling to guest non fresh food and bad quality. Same for the baguette. Was really soft and not good.More

This is a go to spot for a quick bite when visiting Siam Paragon as the food and service are very good. The drinks, sandwiches, cakes and pastries are excellent. Its very popular with locals and it can be very busy at lunch, though there...are always seats at the bakery area.More
