Stayed at the hotel and wanted to check out Moon Bar for a drink. It was super packed like a NYC club- gross. So we ate at Vertigo Grill. Food was good but certainly overpriced. They need to over more Thai delicacies.

We ate here our first night in Bangkok. Was looking forward to the experience, considering the amazing back drop. Food was very expensive and very average. Was disappointed in the quality of the food considering the ridiculous prices charged. Service ok, felt like staff were hovering around, the minute a utensil was put down the plate was empty, in they... More

This bar was incredible because you get a high up view of Bangkok! Drinks are like $10-20 per pop so pace yourself :) It's worth it to have one or two for the views

First of all probably my fault being naive that food was not that expensive in Thailand and then thinking the same applies to your 5 star hotels premier restaurant. The service could not be faulted however the staff hover around you a bit and interrupt to give you more little bites between meals, they took a lovely photograph of us... More

The rooftop views are amazing especially at sunset Everything was delicious , the cocktails are very strong, great ambience but can get quite busy....... Dress is formal attire no shorts, no flip flops so remember to wear long trousers ( they will lend you a pair of very baggy trousers if you forget) Love going there once a month.

There are many roof-top bars/restaurants around the world, but this one is outstanding. We were not able to make it for sunset, which we heard is amazing, but what we experienced was enough.

We stayed at the Banyan Tree Bangkok which we would highly recommend however the Vertigo restaurant and bar feels like it is owned and managed by someone else. The views are exceptional as you feel like you are on top of the world with a 360 view but the service and food do not match. We enjoyed an exceptional meal... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
