I had visited the old restaurant in Washington Square many times in the good ol' days. Stopped in for lunch at the newer restaurant during the Songkhran holiday. The restaurant is on Ekkamai (Sukhumvhit Soi 63) with parking off the street. Ordered the special; full rack of ribs for 570THB, and shrimp bisque and was not disappointed. The ribs were... More

The ribs, oysters, and atmosphere in the restaurant were great. Gravy on the potatoes was not good and the salad had to much dressing. Gumbo rocked. I like the old location better, new building is very nice though.

We came here for a midnight snack after our night out. We ordered a bowl of chili, bbq spicy ribs and the potato skin. They were really tasty. We had some craft beer, which was very good too. The servers were very attentive and patient.

Good selection of western, American style food. They also have Thai food but I would go to the street vendors for the thai food. I did not eat the breakfast. But the dinners where good.

Interesting place to find, did not try much on the menu, but what I had was good - not great, but satisfying. The menu is robust enough for something on everyone's taste. A regular stream of westerners I noted, and many resident, and that is handy for advice on how to get things done at times. Seemed like a decent... More

My first visit today. I went around lunchtime and there were about 5 people having lunch/dinner. The decor is very nice but doesn't quite have that creole feel. Maybe in the evenings it would have more of that New Orleans vibe. It was Monday lunchtime after all :) The food menu is quite extensive and reasonably priced. I think it... More

Being from the Texas/Louisiana border line I was expecting authentic Cajun food . Maybe it should be Cajun with a twist of Thai.

I need to tell anyone visiting Bourbon Street or ordering delivery from Bourbon Street, the Coq Au Vin Chicken dish is one of my all time favorite meals in Bangkok. Amazing. Chicken braised in red wine and spices. Falls off the bone. Moist and spicy. I have eaten this dish more than 10 times and i always feel so happy... More

This place really does have a lot going for it. A cool building, pleasant atmosphere, good location, good service, good drinks, oysters, a selection of import microbrews. Other than the food, I might have given it 5*, but the food was just not good. I had half chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes. The chicken was super-dry and the veggies... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either.
