One of the better Thai family meal we had in Bangkok. Exceeded our expectation. The vegetables was nicely stir-fried that we can't get enough n had to order 2 plates. Conveniently located just below Chong nonsi BTS.

Went there a couple of times, had some really excellent food. One particularly good thing was little deep fried crabs, but best of all was a prawn dish with what looked like green peppercorns on stalks. Sorry, not very helpful as I don't recall the name of it, but a seriously tasty dish, and very different flavours to anything is... More

Been here numerous times and it still offers fuss-free good That dishes at reasonable prices. Forget ambiance as this place only focuses on fishing out good food and prompt service. Waitresses are friendly and whatever ordered cones in a jiffy. :)

If you like seafood but don't fancy overpacked outdoor tables at Chinatown, look no further. This place is famous with the seafood tourists. The price is almost same with Chinatown. The menu have 1kg steam or BBQ prawns. There were only 2 of us. We ask for only half kilo. It is fine too. Get 4 prawns gorgeously grilled. Steam... More

Saw some good reviews in tripadvisor and decide to try out this place. Despite the hype in tripadvisor, I find the food only on an average level. Ordered the oyster omelette, kailan/fried pork, steam sea bass, tom yum koong Disappointing: Oyster omelette- small portion with only a few oyster, taste normal tom yum koong- a bit of burnt taste which... Fresh oysters are served in an interesting way with dried fried onion, chili/corriander sauce, some sweet paste and green leaves. Roasted squid was tasty but seemed to be more steamed rather than roasted as mentioned in the menu. Steamed shrimp are served with heads and unpeeled which made it difficult to clean and eat. Fried sea bass was crunchy. Mostly... More

This week I made my second visit to Lek Seafood in about two years. It's easy to find on the corner of Narathiwas soi Pipat, just steps from the Chong Nonsi BTS station. This place proves that you don't need a glam facade and white table cloths to serve up really great seafood. In fact it is as good as or... More

We used to have dinners here after getting our paychecks at the end of the month. Revisited it again when my wife and I were in town. Surprised that one half of the restaurant has now been converted to a cafe. Food is still awesome as usual. Everything we ordered, hit the spot. Wife approved of the Tom Yum!

Also came to know of this place quite late when research what to eat; and near to hotel (Trinity Glow)....Chong Nonsi BTS...mmmmm, quite a lot of good review, why not? We had the dinner early at around 6pm, when it just opened; thus, the service was really fast!!! Also the only place where we ate tom yam soup during our... More

Simple dinner. I don't think it's worth the search to come here. Only stir-fried dishes. Limited variety judging from the menu unless u order from the ready cooked dishes. Where's the seafood? One cannot really trust TripAdvisor's recommendations all the time.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
