Phil was really nice and encouraged us to go inside. He has just made a fantastic stew. He had just made the dessert and told us if we had one, we would have another. We went back for dinner a couple of nights later and had another. Delicious. Nice outdoor setting. Relaxed, but delicious.

Read above. This town has enough good places to go to and this one is an absolute mistake. More than an hour for two papaya salads and some chicken skewers. Server took off after taking our order and we we subsequently forgot by the entire staff. "Owner"appeared after lunchtime acting all bosslike and looking after everything but its a lost... More

I decided to eat at Phils Cafe after seeing a trip advisor sign in he window. Someone should really remove this sign because it is discrediting trip advisor, and misleading all the innocent customers. I went to Phil's with my girlfriend for diner. There were only 2 other tables occupied in the restaurant and they had already been served while... More

Ate here on a whim and enjoyed our best meal in Thailand (so far!). For two backpackers on a tight budget the prices were extremely reasonable, and the food was outstanding. We ate dishes recommended by the owner, who was friendly, and had a great meal out at this place. Highly reocmmended.

It is within walking distance of everything and is good value. It has a mix of Thai and European food and Phil the owner is usually on hand. Food was served quickly and efficiently.

This restaurant was near our hotel, so we tried...I just ordered fries and a hamburger, I had to wait for 30 minutes, while the 2 waiters were watching a show on TV. It was the worst hamburger in my whole life, the bread was hard and burned. I couldn't eat a third of the fries, even if I was hungry.... More

we sat in the Garden area which was lovely with a fan and shade. The atmosphere was nice and the people were friendly but not very attentive and quite slow. The food was average but not bad. good value.

Went in to this little cafe as it looked pleasant and seemed to have a good menu. Moved to the rear area for some quiet only to find the kitchen close by and a constant banter between staff. As such i moved to the garden area which was not so pleasant with plenty of stuff lying around, tables uncleared and... More
