Dropped into Sailomjoy for a late breakfast this morning after reading the reviews. Great selection of Thai and Western food on the menu. The poached eggs were good and the coffee was great, recommended.

We were in Chiang Mai for over a week and ate breakfast here most days. Great coffee and delicious, no-fuss food every time with quick service. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes!

The food here is high qualitied. Particularly the Green Curry Fried Rice, it tastes better than it looks:) also the Noodle Soup which is freshed and I highly recommended with this outstanding restaurant for Chiang Mai for cheap valued food. Unfortunately, the store itself close early(around 5pm), so that do not take a visit for dinner.

Staying the area of the North Gate, Sailomjoy is easy to find. ( Exit gate towards Walking Street). Pad Ka Prao Gai ( Holy Basil) with fresh coconut is such a kickstarter for the day. Still a lovely place.

Having breakfast before 8am,half crowded with customer.Order breakfast set 160 baht, pork basil rice 70 b and banana oat 70 b.Feel very pricey due to the portioning. I can see the pad thai from next table also in small portion.

When I'm in Chiang Mai I have scrambled eggs, toast and a 'proper' coffee for breakfast at Sailomjoy Cafe ... Tha Phae Gate. This place is famous for breakfast so give the extra charge at your hotel a big miss and join those in the know. It's also open for lunch and for all day mango smoothies... luscious. It closes...
