We were convinced by the great reviews, menu and mission of Paak Dang and were not disappointed! Dined on a Monday night with my partner. Only a few minutes from the old city by tuk tuk, the restaurant is beautiful and has a great spot on the riverbank. From the moment we arrived we were amazed by how welcoming, attentive... More

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times now and plan to return again. The staff is efficient and friendly, the location, although a little distant, has a great river front view and peaceful surroundings. We have been totally impressed by the food! The fish was excellent, the salads crisp and tasty, several curries to choose from, so... More

We loved the concept of this restaurant! A Singaporean brother and sister team helping underprivileged youth from the hill tribes gain life skills. Since we had visited a few hilltribes in the days previous we decided this would be an appropriate final meal in Northern Thailand. We had the appetizer platter, pandang curry, and pad Thai noodles. All were really... More

My family of three (3) generations loved this restaurant. Everything was amazing. Casual. Riverfront. Variety on the menu, with LOTS of Thai food options. My daughter loved the lychee soda. Please ask the owners to share their journey with you.

My husband and I dined at Paak Dang two months ago and I still cant stop thinking about the oh so delicious food we had. We over ordered, as usually, but I'm glad we did because it was sensational. From the mango smoothie, to the butter like crab and curry, to the steamed fish; we were VERY pleased. I was... More

We loved this restaurant - like everyone else! Unfortunately it was a bit wet the night we went, so we didn't get to enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor's section, but we had a great night in spite of this. The food is great and very generously portioned - we ordered too much! The crispy duck with tamarind sauce was... More

We went to Paak Dang after reading a bunch of reviews - it was lovely! Outside of the main district and it has a beautiful setting. It is great to read the story of why they do what they do! Helping disadvantaged youth achieve more and have a career! Then there was the food! WOW! We had the Chiang Mai... More

We totally enjoyed our experience at Paak Dang. The food and service were excellent. The riverside location is charming. When we asked for our bill, our waiter inquired if we needed transportation back to our hotel. We told him we'd like a tuk-tuk to the North Gate area. He came back a few minutes later to say our ride was... More

Description
Set on the Ping River, Paak Dang offers a beautiful dining experience in a 2 story Lanna Style Teak Wood house. We serve authentic Thai food that will tickle and tantalise the tastebuds of both the Thai local palate and our friends from all over the world. The open concept kitchen run by Chef Pay and led by Chef K-Jin offers a full Thai menu with something to suit each and every single person. Chef Pay will also be able to cook up something on special request subject to the availability of our ingredients - all freshly bought from the local markets daily. Paak Dang has also been set up with a mission and vision - to provide employment to the less privileged from the neighbouring villages and hilltribes and currently has a team of more then 20 staff catering to a 60 seat restaurant. With a wealth of experience between them, the owners of Paak Dang, K-Jin & K-Lin both work hand in hand to equip their staff with many important life skills. Open for dinner daily with a serene and beautiful setting on the Ping River. Reservations highly recommended for the best tables by the river. Come see the sunset, enjoy the tranquility of the river and have an unforgettable dining experience at Paak Dang.
