English menus so that was nice, and the food was absolutely phenomenal! We had the red curry and it was fantastic! I definitely recommend. The service was great as well and it was a beautiful enviroment

Excellent Thai food especially their Hunglay and Steamed fish! Air conditioned and decorated in Thai style with a long boat in the middle. Thai staff doesn't speak much English and aren't very attentive, but the food makes up for the lack of service.

My first experience of Northern Thai food. Some lovely curried Noodles, pork scratchings, some super chicken, cold beer, picky plates of different meats and cold beer! We were recommended by a local businessman we work with, and though I had no idea what to order, we were able to point at what we wanted from the menu then bosh, the... More

We were there in June 2016. Highly recommend. Good food, good service, and really good price. The restaurant is spacious decorated in Northern style, good to have a meal, sit and chat with friends or family. I am Thai and have been to this restaurant a few times. Never disappointed. Just learned this time that 'Yong' is the people living... More

My wife is from the North in Thailand, from Chiang Mai. For the 9 years we have been together, 7 of which we have been married, I have been eating Northern Thai food. So I would tell you that I know Northern Thai food and you should trust what I’m going to tell you. You’ve come to Chiang Mai and... More

Like the name, Yong is the type of local food they serve. Some of my favourite dishes are here like the soup with fermented pork and local 'pang' veggie. The rest of the menu are all quite good as well, some are not easily found anymore in a restaurant.

We visited this restaurant based on a short piece written by Sutthirat Supaparinya in a Bangkok Airways 'Fahthai' magazine (July 2015). It's a bit out of the way (for Chiang Mai drivers) so we decided to book a taxi through the hotel. The round trip came to 600BHT. The Tuk tuk's we approached wanted the same so we figured we'd... Excellent dinner! we visited this place in a very late evening yet the quality didn't drop a tiny bit. Just about everything taste great, but you may want to order a few more dishes because the portion was pretty small. Great Price tho!
