This restaurant is located on main load which it is easy to find it. You have to come here in morning on long weekend since queue is so long. Queue need to wait around 10-20 mins. They have a lot of menu or dish such as Congee, Porridge, Dim Sum, Pork rice, Local Food, beverage etc. They have snack or... More

The staff and their service are the worst we have experienced in many years. They all had death stares when they walked around, slapped our drinks down on the table and then when we asked to pay a woman who didn't even know what we ordered stood and looked at our empty plates and said 147, we said that is... Nice to try some food we hadn't eaten before. Good price, fast serving. You need some help to order, cause normally they work with a paper where you fill in what you want. But staff is pretty friendly.

The jok is good, full of ginger and meat. I asked a pad see ew and they gave me a fried rice. I think the waiter saw that I am a farang and he thought that I will not see what is the difference. When you want to eat something very fast you can try it. This restaurant is not... More

Best Northern pork curry I have ever tasted - don't be put off by the oil on top that where all the flavor is This has to be a culinary highlight of many many visits to Chiang Mai The curry so good you almost want to cry and at 80 baht for a decent portion served with Thai fragrant jasmine... My partner & I visited jok sompet twice while we were in Chiang mai. We appreciated the 24 hour service as our body clocks had us up at 4am looking for breakfast. Good, quick service. Very cheap. We tried the congee with chicken. Its a must try when in Chiang mai. It was something different but wouldn't get again. Roast... More

We always drop by Jok Sompet for a nice meal when we were visiting Chiang Mai. Highly recommend chicken rice with basil sauce (90 baht). Their fried rice with good too at 45 baht which is cheap compared to other restaurants. And they open 24 hours. Good for any meal of the day.

Great place for breakfast. Star attraction here as the Thai word "Jok" says, is porridge. Pork, chicken and fish porridge, all done cantonese style with or without egg. Much thicker than the average porridge served in Singapore or Malaysia. They also serve noodles (in soup, dry with gravy), rice dishes and my favourite: cantonese dim sum. Dim sum consists mainly... We were staying just a short walk from this place and after walking past a few times and noticing it quite busy, we decided to give it a try. Pro's: - Food was really cheap - our meal and drinks cost 100 baht for two egg fried vegetable rice and two orange juices. - Food was tasty Cons: - Staff... More

Restaurant is a bit run down and not very 'organised'. Staff is just ok ; service is a bit slow. Apparently some food is good, depends on what you order. I'd tried their 'jhok' (rice porridge) and it was good and tasty. Prices are reasonable.
