There are a lot of coffee shops that serve egg coffee, but this is where the locals go. It is located in a obsure little alley way. Two egg coffees for about $2. A place to see local life and enjoy a great egg coffee...More

Like most of the reviews said, you will need to walk into an alley but fear not cause you are going to get some really nice decent coffee from this cafe. Small stools and table to enjoy their Vietnamese coffee. If you are the adventurous...More

Quite a hidden cafe from the main streets having to go upstairs and the place gets crowded with short stools to sit on. I tried the warm egg coffee and it tastes nice if you like vietnamese iced coffee. If you don't like egg maybe...More

First time in Hanoi and tried the infamous egg coffee...worth a try!! Can’t really taste the egg and the overall experience of the coffee does taste like tiramisu.

Came here after reading about it in a blog about the egg coffee and it did not dissapoint. They claim to have invented egg coffee back in the 40’s. The egg coffee was marvellous and well-priced. Also a nice atmosphere upstairs with a lot of...More

We stopped off here on a walking tour specifically to try the egg coffee, and it was great! The hot chocolate was maybe a little too sweet- but a good option if you’re not a coffee drinker. Very cheap and a cosy little atmosphere.

The egg coffee is excellent but the waiters don’t give a damn and the place is filthy and noisy. Worth to be tried if a waiter is willing to give a coffee at some point

This place is amazing! When I first heard about egg off I was really unsure and didn’t know what to expect and I wasn’t too keen on the idea. However, tasting the egg and chocolate was the nicest and best thing I’ve ever tasted! We...More

Egg and coffee sounds totally weird but this is one of the best way of getting to know how the locals enjoy themselves! They also serve it with beer and tea. Definitely a must try when you go to Hanoi especially during the winter. You...More

The Hanoi backstreet tour took us here for their famous 'egg coffee'. Didn't have anything else but egg coffee so can talk just of that. I had an egg coffee on the cruise at Halong bay n didn't really relish it but the one made...More

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.

Description
Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
