We tried both the hot and iced egg coffee, and both were great. The atmosphere of the cafe was nice, and they didn't try to push us out when we sat around for a while to wait out a thunderstorm. Definitely give it a try.

Service can be somewhat slow due to the large influx of customers, but the staff are nice and the egg coffee is truly amazing.

I'd list this place as a Hanoi must do. Best coffee I've had in Vietnam, great modest local feel, and a real experience. Be brave and go for the egg coffee.

I'm not sure if they add condensed milk to the egg coffee, what I know is they add the blended egg on top of the coffee. But maybe you can request them your specifications.
What time does it open and close?

Giang Cafe was founded by My Father ,Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel. Although the cafe has been relocated twice, its egg coffee recipe is almost the same as in its early days, with its chief ingredients being chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese.
