I was there after some business at the Institute and had lunch here. The staff are nice and they have an open space inside which is quite and fresh in comparison to the noisy street outside. But the salmon was not fresh and tastes dull, the juicy side sauce does some lift-up though. Overall, still a nice place to be... More

This Banh my stand is NOT as good as it used to be. The "cook" however was very rude, talking to the security guards and obviously didn't hear what I told him not to put in my Banh my. The pork used also seemed uncooked when sliced off the grill and the guy forgot to toast the Banh my so... More

We ate here on Feb. 20th. While the rouladen my wife had was good, the chicken I had was so undercooked that the fat was yellow, and the meat impossible to cut. These people need to do work on their culinary skills. Service was okay; just the food gave the issue. Disappointing given the price..

Mix a Banh Mi bun with Doner Kebab insides and you get a pretty delicious result. For a quick meal go to the stand out front instead of going inside.

I have my dinner here, with a very reasonable price for such good quality. Me and my friends have all become a fan of the restaurant, which are not so popular, not so crowded. The staff are professional.

Am eating here now as I write the review. The place looks very nice, by Hanoi standards. Colonial building that also houses the German bibliothek and admin centre. Food was priced very decently. Our party of 4 ordered the grilled Aussie beef steak. For VND 500k, it is reasonable. With free flow of bread, what else can a man ask... More

I went to Cafe Goethe with my son (19 months old). We arrived at 2pm. The waitress showed us to a table and we looked over the menu. When we were ready to order I call the waitress over and started to speak to her. She stopped me and got another woman who spoke English (unnecessary when I could have... More

Cafe Goethe offers many German dishes for moderate prices. Service has improved over time. The Schnitzel is quite good, however it is only served with potato salad or roasted potatoes. When I wanted to order the Schnitzel with french fries instead the waiter told me that I would have to pay extra. After looking at him a little bit irritated... More

We were visiting the Fine Arts Museum and the Temple of Literature. It was a warm day and this was one of the few air-conditioned restaurants in the vicinity. We had a salad nicoise which was drenched in dressing, a rather bland chicken soup and wienerschnitzel with a rather peculiar potato salad. The only reason I am rating it an... More
