I stumbled across this place by accident and sat down for some seafood. After we could not overcome the language barrier, as no one spoke English, I took the only meat dish they had (btw also recommended by the waitress I guess). Service is was very fast I as I was the only one there. I might come again

They no longer have the seafood buffet. They didn’t have lobster when we visited, just large crayfish, which they referred to as lobster. A large lobster cost over $200 and a small one over $100. The restaurant itself is large and fancy. The staff were friendly and spoke English. We didn’t eat there as we weren’t interested in the other food they offered.

A great buffet meal

We went with a group and chose the buffet. There was an excellent range of foods of all types and great seafood. Service was very good. A really enjoyable place to eat.

A big and good restaurant

The price is about 200.000 vnd/pax for buffet. They also serve food selection as usual but we chose buffet. The restaurant is really big and spacious. You can easily move and go around here. The food is good for me. But if possible they should offer a wider range of choices. I really don't like the beef with cartilage. It is just my preference :p And you should come before 12h00, because we came here around 12h30 and finish at 2h00, then there was no more chief or food. =)) luckily we were full though.

Brazil steak house is one of the best restaurant in town! live music and belly dance are very nice. I like charrasco brazil steakhouses in here.

My shout. At La Vong!!! 10 friends said that it is My Turn to pay for lunch in-their City ? Vip room, no buffet for them ! Looked and was expensive! Restaurant was frenchcolonial style, inside and out. Mainly French style meal, salads, land chops(imported ) n veges Norwegian salmon, grilled no veges , stir fried veal n , and a couple of other forgotten dishes!! Expensive looking round table for12, but, I dropped my napkin, , and on doing so, looked under the table , and saw cheap wood under base , tried the walls on exiting, sounded polystyrene in behind the panelling. The meal did not live up to the standard that I paid for, nor expected? Grilled chops not pink , salmon, over done, others, I can/don't want to remember! But, the service was 1st class, 4 staff+ a supervisor, this is a One off for the restaurant, I hope?.. If this is food nirvana in Hanoi, count me out! I don't know what the buffet was like, so can't comment, (30/3/15)

Delicious seafood, need improvement in other areas

We live nearby so we decided to try this restaurant. We arrived at this restaurant at 5pm and the receptionist told us the buffet starts at 6pm so we went for a la carte dinner. It's a really large restaurant with some big rooms and a big garden with outdoor tables. We were to directed to a dedicated room for "a la carte" customers but the deco and setting is the same with other rooms. Frankly I am not sure what style they are setting though. It's probably Khmer or Persian style but I didn't think it's really beautiful. Additionally the tables and chairs were arranged ridiculously close together. It could make you uncomfortable by sitting shoulder to shoulder to strangers. It's unacceptable for a large restaurant and their price range. Fortunately for us, there were very few customers by the time we ate there. When we left, we found the buffet area was crowded. The staff was nice and helpful for us, though they couldn't setup a baby chair for my kid but I couldn't blame them. I think the restaurant tried too hard to be a fancy upscale place but they should get more professional training. After all, it's the food quality that counts. We started with a grilled clams dish with cheese sauce and bread, stir fried scallop with vegetables, crab and asparagus soup. Our main dish is braised grouper fish with soy bean sauce. And we finished with a bowl of grouper porridge. And I must admit their seafood was very fresh and their cooking and seasoning was perfect. We were most impressed with the crab soup. It was very rich and delicious. I definitely will return to this restaurant to try other things. I also recommend you to come if you live nearby.

Best lobster in Hanoi

Nha Hang Lavong offers buffet of sea foods. The best lobster, done 3 ways, i've ever tasted. Buttery & very Vietnamese - 1st dish was the salad, then the lobster body steamed & rubbed with butter & finale, the lobster head in a soup. Pricey but worth it - good for 5 people - at Vnd 5 Million ( 250 USD). Enjoy!
