Tucked away in a quiet alleyway, this restaurant is worth searching out. It is very well placed in District 1, within walking distance of all the sights. Mrs Oanh is a delightful hostess and her food some of the best we've tasted, in 3 weeks in Vietnam.
Don't forget to check out the golf trophies...(and if you're inclined, perhaps fix up a round with Mrs Oanh and her son, he's a handsome young Professional)
Oh and do ask her to lead you in a song or two on the guitar...
You will have the best night in Ho Chi Minh city, I promise!

you will feel like home with nice and friendly treat here. All Hue cuisine are great! Reasonable price in District 1 and good food. I like Mrs Oanh a lot as her kindness to serve and treat me well when everytime I come.

Small restaurant - we arrived at ~ 1800 - no one else there. Split some dishes with my colleague: fresh spring rolls, queen rice with shrimp and crab, and grilled pork and beef with noodles. Add two Saigon Special beers - cost was ~ $15 USD.

I did visit here so many times with family & friends and we always so satisfied by the food, the owner is very dedicated to every food she made to keep the good quality as always. It's best choice to bring foreigner friends here to try the real Hue food!

We were a group of 8 and stayed in a room for us so that we could feel totally comfortable. The service team was truly friendly all long the meal and had pleasure explaining us the traditional dishes from Hue. Altogether we enjoyed very much the lunch, and I still remember the delicately fresh flavour of the herbs that composed my dish, which I never met before. At the end of the lunch we were offered a cup of tea with ginger cookies, and the Head of the Restaurant come to compliment us, we shared experiences of our trip, and ended singing and playing songs with one of the guitars she had there, making it one unforgettable experience we take with us. Thank you!

authentic Hue cuisine - better than food in Hue. You walk into what looks like a living room. You should stick it out because the food is outstanding

You won't believe how warming this place is. The food is amazing and incredible family tradition on the menu and service. Jesus I am coming back anytime I'll be around HCM. And please bring a present traditional from your place, is always good to share part of you and where you from to this amazing place.

This restaurant is defiantly a place to visit for the one that stays more than just on day in Saigon. Unique atmosphere and delicious food. When we visited some of the dishes were sold out but it did not do anything for us since that proved the originality of the restaurant. This is really the place to go for if you search for something else.
However you need to have some patience and have a free mindset. Strongly recommend the Mitau springrolls.

Very warm and cozy. What stands out the most is the authentic food: especially Bun Bo Hue. The owner is a local Vietnamese lady who has the passion of cooking. The place only opens until 9PM, but it guarantees the best quality of food that you deserve to have.

Happened across this little restaurant and ate here most night while in Ho Chi Minh City. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great service, charming owner and delicious food. A small simple menu, well priced in a charming environment. I was given suggestions on what to order, then, how best to enjoy the food interspersed with great conversation about everything from golf- the owner is a multi winner at the fine old game-, to chatting about her gorgeous Lambretta and Vespa classic scooters. Great choice to enjoy first class Vietnamese cuisine.

Its an unusual place that doesn't seem like a restaurant but someones home. Decor is eclectic but you come here for the food. I believe the owner is from Hue and maintains high standards. I particularly like the Bun Bo Hue. Better for lunch than dinner in my view.

Walked past this place a couple of times and decided to give it a go for today's lunch. Very pleased we did, great food and service from the owner, she showed us how to eat our chosen dishes the correct way. Price very reasonable, we will definitely go back.

This place is a real find! Beautifully prepared Hue food. We were really impressed by the jackfruit salad but the rest of the meal was great oo and it is a very good price.

Nice beef noodle soup and good service. My friend wanted a pho and i wanted a bun bo hue. However they do not have this. They only have a hybrid of the two dishes so we both got the hybrid beef noodle soup. Service was good.
