Everyone goes for the roast suckling pig, and quite rightly so. Don't go too late or you will miss out. If you do miss out, though, don't worry: nothing disappoints on the menu of southern Vietnamese cooking (my other favourite being banana palm heart salad), and every night here feels like a celebration: seemingly chaotic and cheerfully noisy. This is my favourite restaurant in Vietnam (I've been half a dozen times).

One of the very busiest and authentic Vietnamese restaurants in town! Great choice of food! Not too expensive! Good dinner choice 👍🏽

If you want to try a really great Vietnamese restaurant, try Lang Nuong Nam Bo. It's basically almost an institution in Ho Chi Minh City. Many Vietnamese American know about this restaurant, and they are known for their baby pig. If you are heading to this place, order the baby pig, it isn't cheap ($10-15 USD) but worth it if you don't mind spending. They have other dishes that are cooked at the table that are also great. I do recommend this restaurant, but if you don't want to spend American prices dishes and on a budget go elsewhere.

I went to Lang Nuong Nam Bo for my friend’s birthday party. The restaurant was really nice, well-organized and the staffs were really useful. The tip is to try to make a reservation for the VIP room aim to stay away with the flow of customers outside.

This restaurant is very popular, known for the roast baby pig. We tried it. To me looking at that tiny baby pig , really tiny, make me sad so I don't like it. The baby roast pigs I am used to, are 3 times bigger. I don't feel at ease eating such a small creature. The other dishes are not impressionant.
Service is good, very noisy place, nice clean restaurant but I won't come back

Had a large dinner party here with our local hosts. The restaurant is enormous and hence is very boisterous and noisy. Still the food is great. The suckling pig is their specialty but there is also fresh seafood and shell fish.
A bit out of the way but the trip up here will be worth it.
Excellent service and value

It was busy and they were able to get us a table straight away. Large menu to chose from. The service was outstanding. The suckling pig was delicious.

I had Christmas lunch at Nam Bo and was very happy with the food and atmosphere. Went with a group of about 15 and it was very enjoyable. They had gone to a lot of trouble with the Christmas decorations that added to the fun. This is a very big eating venue with indoor and undercover outdoor areas.

The restaurant has since moved to the new location at 302A To Hien Thanh road, about a good 15min drive from the city center (but subject to road traffic).
The restaurant is now bigger and more spacious and it was super crowded on the weekday evening we visited. Nicely on Christmas theme decorations, many big groups of diners packed the entire restaurant ground "partying or gathering" with extremely loud and deafening music played continuously all night long that "affected and restricted" diners talking to one another as you would hardly hear even if you are sitting next to face-to-face.
But the food were good, in particular the suckling pig. They were so yummy, juicy and tender on the inside and crispy on the outer side. The other items my local friend ordered included a hotpot with beef (and duck eggs), deep fried platter, quail eggs etc.
We enjoyed the food so much, less about the noisy background.
Service was good and staff were attentive and kept coming to check us out on the food served, refilled our ice cubes automatically without the need to request for it.
Value for money? Well, yes, it did cost more dinning here than elsewhere but its the quality we are talking about. We felt it was worthwhile dinning here as we loved the food.
Recommended but do make sure you go to the right place!

The restaurant has since relocated to 302a. However google map kept redirecting us to the wrong place even tho we keyed in the new address and we spent at least half an hour trying to get there. It was however well worth the trip. The suckling pig and grilled pidgeon was DELICOUS tho the staff had problems conversing in english. Wld advise to skip the wild boar the meat was very tough and difficult to eat.
Turn right from BIG c walk straight until u find it. Abt 5-10 mins walk

Not expensive food and drink, helpful staff even their English is not good and I don't speak Vietnam language. They tried to help us and recommended special food for us. This is a local restaurant and the atmosphere is good, people talking and laughing freely. I feel joyful during this visit. And the location of this restaurant is near to Big C supermarket, easy to find.

If you want to crispy grill pork come to this place. This place does get really packed every night, so call ahead of time to make reservations. The place has outdoor as well as indoor seating. It is a pretty big restaurant. The price of the food is reasonable. The staffs are attentive. Definitely recommended ordering the baby piglet. All the food are good.

We went to the new location on To Hien Thanh Street since the old one off Cach Mang Thang 8 was closed. The new place look much better than the old one. The staff were friendly and quick. We tried half the suckling pig with fried buns and they were delicious. We had few other dishes and drinks but the bill was relatively cheap. Have a word of warning though if you don't like noises then it's not a place for you.
