At lanterns the food, service and price all rated 10/10 Patrons were queuing to get in and waited half hour for table Booking should be made on the day Other restaurants were out the front wanting you to go in so lanterns must be doing something right.

My Wife and I waded our way down the street due to a very heavy tropical downpour when we arrived the place was packed with eager eaters waiting for their chance to feast, luckily we jumped the queue as we had a booking and was seated straight away by a very happy waitress with good English. Our orders were taken... More

We had an amazing meal at Lanterns. We started with the meat spring rolls which were very tasty, non greasy and pastry was very light. The Vietnamese curry (Basa seafish) was the best curry we've ever eaten - so creamy, fresh and flavoursome! We also had pork with lemongrass which was exceptional. The atmosphere was very pleasant. There were lanterns... More

The best of Vietnamese food here. Top tip: this place is always rammed so good idea to book a table as there have been queues outside every day this week. We had the Vietnamese coconut chicken curry. Absolutely delicious. And a very tasty chicken pho. Wonderfully decorated, the service is great and it's excellent value. Would highly recommend.

We found this place on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. When we arrived we were immediately seated and provided a menu. The staff were really friendly, spoke english confidently and were attentive to our needs. The menu had beef, chicken, fish and vegitarian. I selected the Chicken in Coconut which had been recommended to me. It was wonderful,... More

Really nice atmosphere, staff and food. Only downside was it's a little expensive for what it is and also on a hot day the fans aren't strong enough for the whole restaurant.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious Vietnamese food. We really enjoyed the clay pot dinners. Reasonable prices and very nice staff. We returned for breakfast because they had great prices. My husband loved the pho but the pancake was not enough food for breakfast

Description
We have been operating since 2008 and hold half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience of travelling to the local market, buying food and then preparing 3 dishes as chosen by the guests. We also provide a small recipe book at the completion of the tour, as a memento and keepsake. We are also keen to differentiate ourselves from all the other dining places in Nha Trang and give the customer a unique Vietnamese experience. One area is, we are strongly supporting 12 local orphanages. I spent 2 months travelling through Nha Trang & Vietnam & spent a lot of my time with the children at orphanages. As a result, I am trying to give back to these kids, by teaching them life skills and how the real world operates, outside of the usual visits and photo opportunity. That's where the idea for Lanterns came. We invite kids and their careers to each at least one day per month, but any time they wish to come. We encourage the schools/orphanages to allow the older kids to gain work experience at our place and meet the people who visit Vietnam first hand, in a friendly helpful environment. One thing I am strongly committed to, is making sure the kids are not exploited in any way and nothing is ever done without discussing it & getting approval from the carers involved.
