Old Erivan is a place just opposite Opera. It has 8 levels with each level having different themes and music. The one i tried is in level 2. I had the dolma and the grilled trout (ishkhan) which was perfect to my taste. Service was good. Armenian band were playing music, followed by another group which had traditional dance and... More

Went here on a recommendation from the hotel and was very pleased I followed their advice. The restaurant is one floor up from street level and to approach it you enter through a street level self service café. The stairs are easy to climb but a lift is available if needed. Once in the restaurant you find its furnished in... More

The food here is not bad and slightly cheaper than Pandok Yereven @ Tavern Yerevan. The borsche, solianka, steak & trout which we ordered were delicious but slightly on the salty side as is most food in Yerevan. Surprisingly there were no other customers there when we were there on a Saturday night. The decor is very pleasing to the... More

We ended up going to Old Erivan eager to taste traditional Armenian meals. We regretted our choice of a restaurant shortly after being seated. There were customers at only 2 tables out of maybe 20. However only one of us (2 persons) got a menu. We asked for another one and the response was: "It's busy." The waiter that took... More

The food served was not very good. The atmosphere was loud and crowded. The food was tasteless and in some instances overcooked as it "stuck to the platter". Perhaps if the food had not been pre-ordered for the group and we would have ordered from the menu, food may have been better. I stayed in Yerevan an additional couple of... More

I enjoyed this restaurant for the first time in September and found the food and entertainment to be true to ethnic Armenia. I would go back in a heartbeat.

As a previous reviewer noted, if you are in the centre, this place is in a great location and good for a quick sandwich in the middle of your itinerary for the day. The food wasn't bad and the prices are reasonable. The only comment I would make is the staff seem to be a bit disjointed and the service... More

We read about this on the Internet and when we arrived knew there was a restaurant on the second floor. The waiter was surly but put us in a lift. On arrival at the second floor the room was empty and door shut. No staff. We hovered for a while when eventually a waiter came and said we could sit... More
