Having visited Friends (Romdeng's sister restaurant in Phnom Penh) a few times, we headed to Romdeng on our last day for lunch. Set in a courtyard garden, the restaurant is much more tranquil then Friends, and focuses on traditional and Khmer-inspired cuisine. We took a table outside and enjoyed the cool breeze of the fans. Service was excellent, and a... More

I wanted to try fried tarantulas and then I "discovered" Romdeng restaurant. The staff in this charming restaurant are friendly and welcoming. The wonderful food is served in large portions. The crispy tarantulas were so good that I ordered extra. This restaurant is highly recommended for couples and families. Many of the employees in this excellent restaurant are former street... More

Brought here as part of our tour by our guide. Wonderful spot. Delicious lunch. Given a selection of food and desserts. Drinks (non-alcoholic) were so refreshing.

Like all the restaurants in this chain, the food is excellent and most importantly, they do valuable work in supporting vulnerable young people. We didn't have the spiders, but the ants and crickets were lovely! And the more usual fare is divine.

Romdeng is a classic for tourists. The food is fun, tasty and features some very local dishes. To top it off, the money goes to a good cause.

I looked the the TripAdvisor comment on this restaurant was highly rated. We went there with tuk-tuk . The restaurant is located in a historic building with inside and outside tables. We bought our own white wine which corkage charge is $8.00 US . It was quite reasonable. The salad was great with huge portions.

We popped in here one evening with friends and the food was very good. The cocktails were delicious and very well made - we enjoyed the mango cocktail which was devine. The beef curry was delicious with a great flavour and we very much enjoyed this which came with French bread. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the... More

Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.
