We decided to go here after having a fabulous meal at their sister restaurant Friends. Whilst the food wasn’t bad, the service wasn’t up to much the evening we were there. To give them their due though they were extremely busy and that may be...More

Whenever friends ask me what I think the perfect restaurant is to take their visiting friends and family in Phnom Penh, I think Romdeng should definitely make the short-list. The food is good, western-friendly but still Khmer. Additionally, it's all ultra-safe and good for weak...More

Found this little gem on trip advisor and decided to give it a go (despite being terrified that a plate of tarantulas might come past our table). Beautiful little tucked away location, very relaxing garden atmosphere. Menu was great for vegetarians and the food that...More

Everything about romdeng does it for me. there is a good choice of food catering for the adventurous and those who like basic food. Personally I've always eaten part of a tarrantula, have friends who've tried red ants and green snake beans. (actually the latter...More

An amazing place for an amazing charity the NGO is well worth not only your support but a visit because the food is fantastic. A lovely setting with extremely pleasant staff. As a bonus it’s not too expensive either.

Ok, we were not adventurous enough to try the tarantulas on the menu, but what we had was so delicious, we were sorry we didn’t have enough time to come back to try other dishes on the menu. Absolutely loved my mushroom salad and vegetable...More

A group of 7 of us had lunch here.. 4 locals and 3 tourists. I would never have tried some of the offerings, like fried tarantula or crickets, but it was part of the experience. Then we got to try some of the local favorites....More

Probably need to try other dishes in future as the ones we ordered were just so so. The classic colonial style setting is absolutely charming.

I travel for food. My heart travels looking for good. Romdeng provides both with its ethical focus. And yes I chose it for the traditional, unconventional ingredients. I had tge deep fried tarantula followed by the spicy basil beef and red ants. I enjoyed the...More

Hello I was there last week, we got a table straight away (2 of us). It was busy though. In regards to the menu I am pretty sure they also had frog and ants along with tarantulas, so unless they’ve changed their menu I... More

Open Monday to Sunday from 11am to 11pm (kitchen closes 10pm) Romdeng is set in a beautiful colonial building whose wooden carvings, tables, chairs and unique lights were all hand made in Cambodia. The silk goods and cushions adorning Romdeng were made by our students in sewing training at Mith Samlanh and its walls are hung with beautiful paintings produced by young people from the art classes there. All of this plus a pool, free WIFI, a family area and a gift shop mean a visit to Romdeng is a must.
