Went there on Australia Day! Nothing Aussie about it except one rage of boutique SA Beers! Not even a sausage sizzle! So headed to the mad monkey instead which was screaming Aussie!!!! They advertise specials then throw on a tax (unAustralian!) I get that's the law but hey why not include the tax in the price or advertise +tax. Been... More

Ate here twice during a quick visit to the city. First time we had a pizza, which are freshly prepared, generously topped & cooked in a wood fired oven. Also a tenderloin steak, both of which were lovely. Second time, we had a steak pie & a chicken dish, again both dishes were lovely. It was a refreshing change to... More

Most of the restaurant is outside, but covered, and the tables and seats are very high. There are a few tables inside that are lower, and probably more comfortable, but the seats on opposite sides of the table are different: sofa on one side and chairs on the other. The staff were very efficient at bring menus and taking our... More

All staff were very nice. Lisa was particularly helpful with both menu options and honest opinions about nearby places which helped me enjoy Aussie XL and the neighborhood. Chips were perfect and matched the ice cold drinks. Espresso just OK. I expected better from an Aussie Cafe, but I'll return next time I'm in Cambodia for a frosty beverage.

I was expecting a bit more considering all of the great reviews. Didn't like the venue especially - no ambience, uncomfortable high seating. Hamburger wasn't really bad but kind of tasteless (accentuated by at least 5 slices of mushy watery tomato UNDER the beef patty so basically all other taste is blotted out). Spaghetti Bolognese was the worst I've tasted... More

Small place, nothing fancy but really good. Service was very good, food was uncomplicated but excellent. Even enjoyed the spicy peanuts. Two of us both had the chicken parmesan and plenty of beer to drink. Total price $37. Very good value.

This is a very nice and reasonable place to eat in PP. On Sunday's they have a bbq mixed plate of pork/chicken. Cooked over coals out front. Mash, salad and fries available. All for $6. Great value. I also had the hamburger here. Good but the meat tasted a little watery as if it had been unfrozen but not totally... More
