Good food but poor service (the latter as everywhere in Astana). I have been here several times and often find myself waiting to get a menu or the bill while the multiple staff busy themselves with setting tables and other tasks that can wait till...later. The restaurant is never very busy at lunchtime, so they don’t have the excuse of being overworked. They just don’t have an instinctive sense of when a customer needs something. Once or twice when a large group has arrived, total chaos follows. Management needs to be more attentive to training and the organisational side.More

This place is really fantastic and deserves a much higher rating! They specialise in Georgian cuisine, with tasty lobio and khachapuri. The tea is also quite an experience, made in front of you with a sort of science burner-type contraption I haven't seen before! Service...is good and the interiors are really groovy. The place looks recently renovated but also has a "throwback to the 70s" look in terms of the interior design, which creates a good atmosphere. Definitely one of the top places to eat in the city (and in a beautiful location too, next to a riverside promenade and the amazing Atyrau Bridge).More

Our favorite restaurant in Astana. Nice location, good service and very tasty food. Georgian interesting kitchen. To be honest the bread is to hard backed, but all others dishes are very well prepared. Little bit expensive for normal lunch or dinner.

Been here many times but decided to write the review only now. I like this place for tasty food and spacious interior. In comparison with competitors, food here might be mild and fitted for European taste rather than being deeply seasoned as truly Georgian. It’s...not a negative thing, believe me. Even more, I can swear that flavor of Khinkali is the same as in Georgia! This time I ordered Kharcho soup with Khachapuri with cheese and potatoes. I was satisfied and can sincerely recommend this place. This cafe is very good, but not exceptional. That’s why 4/5.More

We went for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the attractive decor, although the music was a bit loud throughout the evening. The food was nice, with the khachapuri probably being the highlight - it was absolutely delicious! The chicken kebab lacked flavour and was...served only with chopped onions and a bread/wrap (it really needed a yoghurt-type sauce); the Georgian roast pork was served in an earthenware bowl covered with a thin pastry lid - the potatoes and capsicum were very tasty, but the pork was tough and there was no gravy/sauce; the whole smoked trout was tasty, but perhaps not worth the fight with all the tiny fish bones! One of the desserts we wanted was unavailable, but we enjoyed what we did order. We felt the prices were reasonable overall and the service was attentive.More

The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious. The staff are always on top of their game and the food is spectacular. All the truly Georgian dishes are like you'd get in Georgia, but unlike Georgia you can order 1 of each type of khinkhali, which...is glorious as they have so many different kinds. Lemonade, khachapuri, and all the other Georgian staples are great as well.More

I took 5 of my friends here who have never tried Georgian food and they were very very impressed! I would recommend taking the vegetable and nut balls and the fruit drink!

This place has mid range prices. Specializing in georgian cusine. Interesting design, and has a smoking room, which is very good when the weather is bad;)

We went there as a group of 15 people. Interior is nice and well done, giving the Soviet feel, outside they have play ground for kids which is okay but you have to stand outside while your child playing. Okay, we get in and sit...down. They do have English menu but "what's all the names mean?" Barely have English stuff. Okay, eating: salads are fine, for main dish we ordered BBQ meat and it couldn't be more disappointed. It lacked flavor, salt, and a good roast on the meat! The gave sauce on the side but it's better they kept it in the kitchen! Wasn't impressed at all, but it had so much potential. ShameMore

Very cool interior makes for a nice atmosphere. This story of Astana restaurants not having items certain menu items is getting so old and tired. Tselinnikov had 18 Georgian wines on the menu but only had Chilean wine. The food I ordered was, surprise surprise,...not available. Our party of 8 requested to sit outside as it was a hot day and the chairs and tables were set up but the staff said it was "impossible" because the umbrellas were not open. They weren't fussed when we told them we'd prefer to take our business elsewhere - typical Astana.More

Last week I visited "Cafe Tselinnikov". Briefly, I would like to put emphasis on tasty Geargean cuisine, friendly atmosphere, very polite staff and service, plus the furniture and interior corresponds to 1960s of Astana. The thing I was impressed by was that even the toilets were equiped...with changing tables for a baby. So, it is definately a place for a family visit. You will not regret.More

We went because we read reviews about the khachapuri. Service was terrible and the khachapuri was mediocre. Tiflis is just a few blocks away and far better service and food.
