Don’t be put off by the little barking dog! After you pass this “little” obstacle, your reward is certain! The most delicious food we ate in Laos, with an incredible vegetarian menu. Try their Papaya Salad! The vegetarian version comes with sweet and sour eggplants...More

We’d been a bit disappointed in some of the local fare but Ban Vilaylac restored our faith. Small, a little cramped but very decent it is worth searching out. The green curry was particularly good. Seemed like a one woman show - pretty good fun!

I came here 3 times during my 4 days stay in Vientiane. The food is fantastic and the owner Ms. Vilaylac Thepvongsa is a very open and friendly lady with a very good command of English. I met tourists and locals alike on my visits.

If you like Lao food, this restaurant is a good choice, especially for Mekong fish......the food is excellent, the seating is just basic but clean and the service is very good

Sat outside for a quick drink and to people watch. Very quiet and pleasant surroundings. Very extensive menu with lots of lao specialities. Food looked good but not cheap by Lao standards.

Having read loads of fantastic reviews on a number of different places we made our way here with high hopes. Unfortunately we felt hugely let down. The service was pretty awful. My partner asked for a banana and pineapple fruit shake (mixing two fruits that...More

What a friendly hostess for this in prepossessing restaurant. Let her recommend to you. We had fish with lemon but what a broth made with limes garlic coriander and fish sauce. The red curry has some zing too.

I've eaten here four evenings in a row during my stay in Vientiane. I started with fried spring rolls followed by ginger pork with steamed rice. The next evening I had to order the spring rolls again - very delicious - and got some chicken...More
